I went there on a Friday evening with my husband for dinner. We didn’t know what to expect, but we definitely were disappointed and won’t be going back at ALL. First, i ordered the boneless wings, my husband ordered regular wings and we the chicken nachos as an appetizer to share. The nachos came out first, the chicken tasted like can chicken and it was cold. The nacho cheese that was melted on there tasted very cheap and there was hardly any chips. We didn’t say anything, we figured our wings would make up for it. After my husband received his wings, which were (okay) i kept Waiting for my wings, waited and waited. When i finally flagged down a waitress to ask where my wings were and to also tell her our waters were empty for the past 10 minutes, i get a response of “we don’t have any boneless wings”. The waitress didn’t tell me they were out when i ordered them and nobody bothered to come over to me and tell me they were out. They let me sit and wait until i was wondering where my food was. Needless to say, i didnt eat. The customer service sucked, food was terrible and the kitchen looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in months. I will...
Read moreMost important criteria first, drinks: having only one Rainier option (my favorite, the tall boy can) usually gets 4 stars, but during the great Rainier shortage of 2021, that earns 6 of 5 stars. I have never before given extra credit in any criteria.
Food: we both ordered off-menu. I added bacon to the grilled cheese, very good. The waffle fries are cooked to absolute perfection. Gen got half and half appetizers, mini tacos and mac and cheese bites (she gives hers an average bar food evaluation, and pushed away the guacamole from a tube). 5 stars based on my evaluation of both orders.
Service: Jamie was amazing, took our off-menu ordering with what appeared to be a smile under her properly worn mask.
Atmosphere: no current outdoor seating, but several tables were available, unlike pre-pandemic weeknights. Wonderful decor. 5 stars.
Overall: one of the only affordable joints in Bellevue....
Read moreMy first experience was a negative one. I successfully placed a to go order over the phone (amazement in itself) and when I came to pick it up, I was asked for ID. Not a problem, I didn't realize that it was strictly a bar, as it wasn't posted outside. I assumed from the name "Goose Pub AND EATERY" that it was all ages until a certain time. This was still fine. When she saw my ID though, the bartender told me, literally, that I needed to get out. If I am a paying customer, you should probably be a little more courteous about this situation. Now every single time I try to place an order to go, the line just rings and rings and rings. As far as the food goes, it's good for what it is. The waffle fries are awesome, but you don't seem to get very much. My co-workers regularly place phone orders, and seem...
