The brewery looks like a quintessential Pittsburgh bar when you walk in. It is definitely not a fancy place. But those food reviews had me wondering if the food could live up to the expectation. While we were waiting for our food, my son ordered a pineapple shanty. He ended up one of the best he’s had anywhere. Which meant we were off to a good start. The hubs ordered a Farmers Tan ale which he also liked - he said it was damn good and not too hoppy. Okay, 2 for 2. Then the food came out. And we hit a grand slam. One got the Pickle Dip Patty melt and the other ordered a Brewery burger. Both remarked on the freshly ground meat that we used to make the burgers, just the incredible flavor that came out of it. I had to be different and ordered one of their fall specials, the fall salad. I will tell you since moving back to Pittsburgh, finding a restaurant that does not hand you a salad bowl of iceberg lettuce topped with french fries….. That seems to be the standard at most restaurants. Very little imagination. but this salad? This was a bed of Romaine and baby spinach, topped with roasted carrots and butternut squash, along with tomatoes and cucumbers. And just enough feta to hold your interest, but not overwhelm you. I did add the chicken breast to it which was cooked to perfection. To say that that salad knocked my socks off would be an understatement. I would not have expected to walk into a brewery and find a salad with roasted vegetables. I give that salad a 5 out of 5. And the most amazing part of it? When we went to pay our bill, we had two beers, and three lunches. Totalling about $60. It would be hard to find a place where you can feed three people have a couple beers and come out with a tab that low. All in all, we were more than pleasantly surprised by the food. It lives up to all those stars in the reviews! And you can guarantee we...

Attempted brunch here. Sat at a table in close proximity to the bar and with clear view between the bar and table. Was not excited that it looked like you have to QR code everything But a waitress did come along momentarily with a menu. There were patrons already here and served but there was still a majority of open tables. The waitress disappeared for some time and reappeared with water and cups. We ordered drinks. We watched tables filling up and our drinks didn't come. Eventually a different staff member came with one drink. She didn't know what the drink was or who it was for. We repeated our drink order she left and returned with our drinks. Our original waitress busied herself with tables around us. She didn't check to see if we were prepared to order. We did place an order. An hour later we flagged down the second waitress and ask to cancel our order and pay for our drinks. We were asked if we had things to do. And we said an hour waiting for breakfast is too long. Shocked, the nice, second-to-wait-on-us staff asked if she could get us a refresh on our drinks and would we let her check on the food. She said the meal would be covered and ran off to fix the situation. The orders came incorrect and lacking flavor. Cold bland eggs, dry dead toast, and raw, slightly warm potato chunks didn't leave us with a desire to return. The second staff was super nice and she did try to correct everything. There were too many negatives for this to be on a list for us to come again. There are many places to go in the area. The restaurant seems to be a busy place every time we go by and we had higher hopes for it. Although our meal was covered (Thank you) and staff was nice, we will be hard pressed to find occasion...

Best addition to Bellevue in over 30 years! Owners of Lincoln Avenue Brewery nailed it on beer, food, ambiance and service. One of the owners waited on us and could not have been nicer. She went above and beyond to welcome us. All beers are from the Pittsburgh area or are brewed in house. A great concept that I never thought could exist until now, there simply weren’t enough craft beers available in Pittsburgh! The food delivered too — reasonable prices and fresh flavor. The pretzel is enormous and worth sharing. Sandwiches are on fresh crusty bread and melty, very satisfying. I had their 511 New England IPA; it was very fresh and a good example of the style. Overall, what i was amazed at was how the clean, bright, simple design aesthetic and ambiance really flowed which made it a pleasure to spend time there. The TV wasnt on or blaring a game, music wasnt super loud, etc. Vibe was lively. We were greeted immediately and everyone we spoke to was very welcoming. Another owner came and thanked us for coming right before we left. These small details make such a big difference. Great addition to Bellevue and...

I got to try a preview of the breweries full menu tonight and I have to say that I am very happy with the menu. They tested out a few types of sandwiches and appetizers and had a full deck of 7 draft beers and 3 cocktails. For the beer I’d highly recommend the amber and the porter and for the food the turkey and the steak panini where neck and neck as for appetizers you will not go wrong with the giant homemade soft pretzel with beer cheese and mustard. I can’t wait to see what this place comes up with in the future. They are off to a great start. I’ve been to most of the breweries in the Pittsburgh area and these guys really are going to come out swinging when they fully open in the next couple of weeks. We have a really great brewery scene in Pittsburgh and I think Lincoln avenue brewery will be a staple in that crowd. If your checking out the breweries in the Northside don’t skip this one!
