Went on St. Patricks Day for dinner. Food tastes great but their service was awful. My boyfriend and I ordered food and drinks at the front counter and went to sit with our friends who had been there at least 10 minutes before us and they had ordered food and drinks at the bar. We recieved our food before our friends did but they had their drinks right away. Someone in the kitchen really needs to learn how a burrito is wrapped, it looked like it was folded over and the sides were just pinched off, needless to say all of the insised came out and I ended up eating it like a taco. Halfway though our food one of the servers was walking around asking if someone ordered maragarita, they turned out to be ours. They were the vallarta margaritas which were strong but disgustingly so. Our friends still hadn't recieved their food even after the owner came to check on us, it took 10 more minutes for another server to come by to ask what they were missing, their flautas finally came but one of the plates had the wrong type of meat and they never recieved their side of rice and beans. Later another friend went to buy a michelada but they ended up getting charged for a maragarita. Honestly there were a lot of servers (too many imo) and no one seemed to know what they were doing. I understand they just opened and all the staff is young but after a month you would think they would have worked out these...
Read moreI ordered four hard tacos and a street taco, all with shredded beef. I also got a happy hour margarita. The food was fantastic, the drink was good, the service was great and it was a fun place to hang out. If you're in Bellingham and want good Mexican food, drinks and fun, this is the place to be! The prices were reasonable, ($3 street tacos, $4 regular tacos, $4 Margaritas, ) and it was all fantastic. They even substituted corn tortillas for my gluten-free companion's quesadilla. This is your place. Additional: on my third visit, three weeks later, they took fantastic care of me, and replicated my companion's order from memory, which included the addition of cilantro, which I'd forgotten. This is definitely a...
Read moreWent in for the first time and really enjoyed everything. Both the restaurant and the food were very clean. I got a potato burrito, so when I mean clean food I mean that the potatoes were fried correctly and not greasy. Everything was really good. The sauces were rich but there was the perfect amount of sauce and the salsas were very very good. The al pastor was stellar, and so were the taco tortillas. I think he puts pineapple in the pastor. Delicious. Little details like pressing the burrito for a little crisp brought it all together. Pretty sure the beans were cooked from whole as well? They tasted really good.
Worth a visit. They're open till midnight Friday and Saturday. Can't believe I haven't checked...
