Finally made it during open hours. Wow what a delicious meal. We ordered the pupusas, pan, pastelitos, tamales, empanada and yuka frita. There were four sauces provided: a red tomato water and green tomatillo and jalapeno, a red salsa with the yuca and a red chicken base for the pan. The tamale was wrapped in banana leaves and not made with masa and lard but light, fluffy and delicious. We watched someone else fill their pupusas with the salted slaw, but we ate too soon to try. The pan was filled with sweet beets and plenty of veggies and quite worth a return visit being stuffed with juicy tender marinated chicken. The yuka was cut thick enough to be moist in the center and delicious with crunchy deep fried pork pieces somehow cooked long enough to take on the texture of chicharrons. The empanada was an unexpected treat we ordered with banana encasing beans that finished the meal...

Morazan's Salvardorian food is absoutely delicious and it's tugged away restaurant gem in our Whatcom community! This location has friendly staff and quality food. My boyfriend and I went to this spot on a Wednesday evening for dinner. I really love how this spot makes their food fresh to order. Morazan's was busy until closing so be prepared for a wait. Their aqua de fruta is DELICIOUS. Portions are generous and filling. Menu is simple which includes 1) 2 pupusas con Curtido (aka cabbage salad). Note you can choose different types of filling for your pupusas. 2) Panes and 3) Plato Pollo. They also post additional meals such as Salvardorian tamales and empanadas de platano, etc. I will defintely come back to try all...

I always get a pupusa ....this time I got the everything pupusa...agua de Jamaica ..... absolutely loved the platanos with frijoles ..but...when it came to the table the pupusa it was as big as a pizza.., and the fillings were so thin one really couldn't taste them....don't get me wrong I love masa ....but this was a bit much.....the agua unfortunately had cinnamon in it which for me defeats the purpose of having agua fresca except for horchata which should have cinnamon.....the fresh Cole slaw was fresh and the serving was huge, but it had too much oregano in it making it bitter....I later found out the restaurant had changed ownership since I was last there....I will give it another try...

Had some delicious pupusas and the most refreshing fruit drink at Morazan recently! There was no dine-in, I think because they were short staffed, but I was able to walk in and order at the counter. I watched as the woman made up the pupusas right there, so expect the wait that accompanies that level of freshness. I can't remember what the drink was called, but it was so yummy and had fresh apples in it. I'm craving it right now, even on a rainy day. Will return again soon!

Pupusas con todo (filled with pork, cheese, and beans). Empanadas (deep fried sweet plantain with sweet leche cream filling). Red sauce is mild green is hot. I put veggies over the pupusas then put both sauces over that. Everything was great. We had to wait 25 minutes so it might be a good idea to call your order in before you arrive. Next time I want to try their pastelitos which I think are similar to Costa Rican empanadas.
