India Garden — Restaurant in Belmar

Close to the lake and near the ocean lies a hidden gem — India Garden. This is truly one of the best restaurants around, with a stunning location that makes it special. As soon as I walked in, I was impressed — beautiful wall décor, flowers everywhere, and a garden that perfectly complements the restaurant’s name.

The tables were elegantly set with blue chairs and well-organized arrangements. My table was already reserved, and I felt welcomed right away. The kitchen was busy as always, which is a good sign, and there was even a large fish tank full of colorful fish — you can even feed them and watch them play.

I ordered my food with a glass of wine, and everything came beautifully plated:

First came the squid, perfectly cooked.

Then lamb tacos, which were unique and flavorful.

After that, chicken Banjara— something different and delicious.

And the highlight — the best shrimp biryani I have ever tried. I truly enjoyed every bite. To finish, I had a brownie with ice cream, which was simply amazing and the perfect ending to the meal. They even have special takeout bags so you can pack your leftovers in style.

India Garden in Belmar is hands down one of the best dining experiences I've had at the Jersey Shore. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and genuinely friendly service that makes you feel right at home. The staff is incredibly attentive, helpful with recommendations, and always eager to ensure you have a great experience.

The food? Absolutely amazing. I've tried a wide variety of dishes from their menu over multiple visits, and every single one has been cooked to perfection. Whether it's their flavorful curries, perfectly spiced biryanis, or delicious tandoori dishes, everything bursts with authentic, rich flavor. You can tell great care goes into every meal, and the consistency is impressive.

We came to India Garden as a group of six and were completely blown away by the entire experience—Every single dish was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and perfectly cooked.

We started with Chicken 65—crispy, spicy, and addictive—and followed it up with some Paneer. The Chicken Tikka and Tandoori dishes were aromatic, tender, and grilled to perfection, bursting with smoky flavor straight from the clay oven. We couldn’t stop passing plates around and raving about the flavors.

And the perfect ending? Gulab Jamun—warm, sweet, and comforting, like a hug in dessert form.
