Santo Ceviche — Restaurant in Belmar

My husband and I just moved to New Jersey and came to visit Long Branch Beach. We were craving some fresh seafood since we had been out in the sun all day. Luckily we found Santo Ceviche food truck! The ceviche tostadas were to die for! They had just the right amount of spice (we love spicy food) and the Santo Ceviche was delicious, though I would reccomend getting it without the aioli sauce it comes with and the enjoy that crispy calamari a little more. But we would definitely come back and try their plantain cup (they were out). The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the sauce both the tostadas and ceviche has was a little too salty for our taste but next time we will just ask for our order without it. This is by far the best restaurant in the area. It was truly one of the most delicious meals we’ve ever had. We savored every bite and are already planning our return. We have been searching for seafood this fresh since we moved to the area last year. Highly recommend the ceviche mixto, the santo, and the shrimp buns. We want to try everything else on the menu because truly our meal was unreal. Highly recommend. 11/10. And the owner was so kind. We ordered two dishes, Classic Ceviche and Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice (our server's suggestion). Both were excellent. The fish was obviously fresh. The second dish was really wonderful, with its combination of crispy rice cake, cool tuna, and creamy avocado. I strongly recommend it!

I gave only three stars for atmosphere because the place is just a small spot in a strip mall. We came before the summer season had started, and perhaps for this reason we were the only people there, and there was a noticeable smell of cleaning products in the room.
