Kotta Sushi Asian — Restaurant in Belmar

Attempted to order delivery from this god awful place last Saturday at around 8pm. The first woman who answered the phone snapped back at me "NO DELIVERY NOW!" And proceeded to hang up on me. I was like uh ok.. So I call back and ask the same rude woman to place a pick up order. She starts taking my order and in the middle of an item says "hold on let me check" (on what I'm still not sure). She doesn't put me on hold, just puts the phone down because I can hear her talking in the background. 15 mins later she still hadn't come back. So I hung up and called again. Busy tone. Call the other number, another woman answers, just as snotty as the first. I start explaining what had happened and she's like "so order or no order?!" So I start telling her my order. She starts talking to people there. So I said "maam are you too busy to take this order right now?" To which she responds "yes we're too busy, and there's at least an hour wait for pick up orders any way." And then hangs up the phone again!!!!! I've been there previous to this, the food is so/so. Fish should be way fresher for a place less then a mile from the ocean. Will never ever return. Snot nosed stuck up place with crappy...

This place was sadly a let down. I feel like everyone here is just worn out and tired of the industry. Totally valid, but its effecting their business.

Right when my friend and I entered, no one else was there except the restaurant staff. No one greeted us, the waitress just walked over to a table to have us sit. It was almost like we were a nuisance for coming in at 5:30ish for an early dinner. I just had veggie sushi, and it was okay. This is not sarcastic; The man preparing the food definitely makes beautiful plate art! I definitely loved that aspect of the meal.

It's just the windows were dirty, the table cloths were dirty, the paper they put over the table cloths was dirty. There are light fixtures that weren't working, the back right corner is a chaotic mess... Just made it hard to think the food was prepared in a clean space.

The food was excellent, the service was even better. Tiffany was our server, she was great at the table and, even though we had two small kids with us, instead of just dealing with it as best she could, as many other restaurants would do, she made sure they had a great time as well. My wife has had her before and said she did the same with the kids then as well. Great, great job.

As for food, the egg drop soup had a nice richness to it, not an overly thin broth like most places. We had the butterfly roll, which was very good. I had the beef tenderloin mixed entree and my wife the thai mango with chicken and shrimp. Both excellent. Moshi ice cream for dessert was...
