Most of the reviews here are actually for The Greedy Ant, which was an adorable little sandwich shop owned by a true sandwich maestro with a short but finely curated menu of delicious sandwiches made with fresh, well-sourced ingredients. I’m a sandwich snob and those were some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Sadly it’s under new ownership and now called the Belmont Deli, and while they’ve kept some of the same sandwiches on the menu, they’re sad shadows of their namesakes. Instead of a mountain of fresh spring mix on every sandwich, you’ll get a pittance of withered iceberg. Meats are now basic Boar’s Head cuts. Bread is decent but limited in options. The sandwiches are now about on par with what you’d get at a Safeway, but for $15 (!!). I’d take a sandwich from Mr. Pickle’s across the street over this malarkey any day. Sadly, also gone is the wide range of delicious snacks, sauces and various ingredients from around the world, replaced by a sterile, minimalistic aesthetic and TV-screen menus. Such a shame to lose another Bay...

The owners, Chai(sp?)and Veronica are amazing Chefs! The food is as genuine as the family that runs and operates this secret hidden gem. If you pass too fast down Ralston Ave just before El Camino, you’ll miss it. The Greedy Ant Deli (TGAD) carries imported products from Italy that you really cannot find in stores today.
“TGAD” Supports local vendors, local food growers, is family run, owned, and operated.
I’m so lucky to eat this beautiful food in a time where most food establishments have a formula for extreme profit.
It is clear they are in this for the passion of people and food. They take pride in there business and you can tell.
Did I mention how extremely nice, sweet, and accommodating they are?
Stop doordashing your sad meals and walk in and order this delicious food. Or call and email if you like.

Read moreWow. Just amazing. Great selection of cheeses and meats. Sandwiches are to die for - really cheap for the portion size and quality. I bought a $10 sandwich and could only finish half of it in a sitting.
The charcuterie trays are also beautiful and extremely well priced. $35 for a diverse tray of meats, cheeses, olives, nuts, fruit, and jam. It served seven people as a LUNCH and we still had leftovers! I will never assemble a tray myself again as long as The Greedy Ant is open.
The staff is awesome, very friendly, very knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. They will have you try everything before you buy it. I've probably tried everything in the store and always try their new arrivals.
I am a regular at the Greedy Ant now. I just can't stop coming back! Whether you want a bit of cheese for snacking or a tray for a party, this is THE...
