The place is clean! Convenient wheelchair accessible everything, but maybe not so much the bathroom and all its facilities in it. At least in the 2 Person room me and my companion received this time. At a previous stay with my sister, we where painting our home and the "fumes" forced us to seek shelter elsewhere for 2 days, we had a much bigger room for 2 people. Ok, given that prices fluctuate $10,- Dollars up or down on a daily basis, but that shouldn't affect the square feet availability concerning the Hotel rooms. It didn't seem very busy either, only four cars where parked, and one was ours. But we didn't deliver complaints to the semi nice night person. He seemed sleepy, and we arrived late, around 9:00 PM. Perhaps it was passed his bed time. And after noticing the obvious "lack of space", we didn't feel like fuzzing around with a half vacant front desk representative further more. The bathroom was also small, very small, still ok and clean, but the wobbly bathroom sliding door, which didn't stay shut, made my "toilet" experience an urgent quick one. I don't know about other folks, and it doesn't really matter if your blood relative, or your boss are parked right outside the door, but it couldn't have been more then 7 feet, and a wiggly devider, that separated me from the other person. Very inconvenient, uncomfortable. Where did these temporary seeming "door like" separaters originate from anyways? Someone's walk in closet? And with white stained glass. You can clearly recognize the silhouette of the other person. That needs improvement! Why not put a curtain there? The result would've been pretty much the same. But again, it was very clean! Microwave and Keurig one cup serving coffee maker where ready "to serve" it's guests. When taking a shower, the water never got really hot, still acceptable to remain and finish clean up, only to find 3 thin, worn out towels, which 2 of them where bath towels and one just a tub-floormat. It's a blessing that my weight doesn't exceed 135 lb. My companion wasn't as lucky. I don't believe that I would've been able to wrap the whole towel around my circumference otherwise. The bed was comfortable, but it was a double bed, not a Queen like we had booked online. Also not a severe issue for us tired folks. But one should deliver as promised ! Online, in person, on a bike in a limousine! And I used to work for a bath and bedding (no name) company for 5 years, and am very comfortable in making this statement, when guaranteeing knowing the difference between a double and a Queen size! I used to set up display beds...the Queen size mattress is 6 inches wider. Anyhow, the stay was ok. Would I stay here again? Why not?!?! I'll just fill out the little space online that askes for desired square feet for the 2 Person Hotel room at Silicon Valley Inn. I think I'll pass on another plastic wrapped dehydrated pastry, and a pre-school sized room temperature milk mini carton for breakfast. Improvement people! There is room for improvement! As for checking on "what's for breakfast" anyways: I was greatest by an empty room. What...
Read moreIts really interesting to see this online only as a "2 star" stay, but it really is more than that. We actually booked on airbnb for our stay from Thursday to Monday. We messaged beforehand to see if it was okay to check in around 11pm-12am on Thursday and it was. Once we arrived, we just rang the doorbell at the small lobby and a man helped us check in. It was so easy! We also really appreciate him staying up for us. We found the room to be AMAZING! For its price, it is so extremely clean. Everything was spotless, the bed was clean, the bathroom, closet, tables. For an inn, this is phenomenal. Parking is also so easy and the neighborhood is safe. Staff is friendly and cleaned our place perfectly when we asked. We are so lucky to have found this stay as its only 30 min from San Francisco and 30 min to the Redwoods for a mini roadtrip. It's also close to needs such as CVS, Safeway, and local food favorites. There is even a huge mall nearby! The city surrounding this inn also has a lot of great foods and attractions. Definitely recommend this and will come back...
Read moreThe rooms are very clean. The price for the room is very modest so there are not many amenities. There is a small microwave in the room and refrigerator which is nice. The Wi-Fi doesn't always have reliable coverage. There is a room that you can access for ice and they have some nice snacks and beverages in there but the room key doesn't reliably open that door. When you do check in you'll have to sign a contract that lists the cost for each of the bath towels hand towels and hair dryer etc and that you could be charged for these items. (which makes me think people that have stayed here may have either destroyed or stolen these items previously.) If you need something The Innkeeper lives right on site and is very helpful! They've also been very attentive to the landscaping and if planted beautiful flowers and plants. As we are in the San Francisco area there's a steep slope to the parking lot and the runes. If you have mobility issues this could make access a little tricky. I'm sure if you mention this when you're reserving a room the owner would...
