eCr Pub — Restaurant in Belmont

Really great pub. Nice dive bar feel without the fear of hepatitis. The key to this place is their craft beer. It's all made just down the street at ECR's tap room, which is also very cool. Prices are reasonable. Food looked okay even though i just had beer. Speaking of the beer, this stuff is great. I'm so sick of being punched in the face with "all the hops i can fit into this beer" kinds of beer. It's like in the Midwest they think, "If i add more cheese, it'll be better!" No, it won't. Just like, "If I add more hops, it'll be better!" No, it won't. These folks know what their doing. Their beer has the proper balance of bitter and floral, and you still get touches of malt. I might not be the perfect person for this review because I haven't been into this particular establishment since it Ausiellos.We stopped by here early in the afternoon and they weren't quite open yet but we ended up helping the bartender/owner/manager take down the stools and open up the front door. She was very polite and offered to get the grill running just for us. Inside the bar looks the same they still have the shuffleboard table and the pool tables in the back but it seems a bit brighter. They now have a liquor license that serves good quality alcohol Bourbons,Gins, etc. Food was good for a bar grill prices were fair. I will return. Walked into pretty empty place with no greeting or acknowledgement by anyone, figured out on our own that we needed to seat ourselves and walk up to the bar and order beverages and simple bbq ribs with sweet potato fries as a side. We should have noticed that the existing patrons had no food but we found out why as it took a ridiculous amount of time to receive our orders (two orders of the same thing - 6 ribs and sweet potato fries in each order) and the ribs were extremely overcooked and so dry it was like jerky, and the fries were so dehydrated that they were like chips.

Only positives were the many TV screens and clean floors and tables so don't come here for food, just if you want to watch sports, play pool, and grab...
