HEALTH WARNING BELOW, BE AWARE!Plethora of healthy food and explosion of flavors!!! Please, don’t miss on the VEGAN LASSI made of organic soy milk (doesn’t taste like soy, it tastes like mango) and VEGAN BAKLAVA - all plant based.
Their falafel pocket (pita sandwich) is always a fantastic and easy/convenient choice. But if you want to share, and more variety I love to go for their FALAFELLE COMBO - it is like eating rainbow, so many sources of vitamins, minerals, and fiber: Six falafel balls served with hummus (made of protein rich garbanzo beans), tabbouleh (parsley - rich in vitamin C and antioxidants), and two pieces of Dolma (grape leaves are so good for you, fiber, iron, magnesium etc) in a plate with zesty cabbage (vitamin B1, B5, B6), beets (folate vitamin B9 amongst other benefits) sauerkraut (probiotics), roasted red peppers (vitamins C, E and beta-carotene), house salad (fresh tomatoes and cucumbers), sumac onions (sumac is a super food for its ORAC value, meaning antioxidant level in 100gr - much higher than famous blueberries, cinnamon, turmeric and cloves), pickled turnips (vit A, C, iron) and pickled cucumbers, mild banana peppers - I won’t be able to list all benefits!
Don't want a topping? Add it as a note. Feel free to add premium toppings as well. We suggest adding Baba Ghannouj!
When I eat their food I can confirm that Mediterranean cuisine is the healthiest. Even though I don’t know the owners I feel like they are the most kind, caring, and hospitable. Food is delicious and portions are generous!

Read moreUnderwhelmed with the falafels. Been wanting to try this place for months. Ordered a falafel combo. The place is called Falafelle, so I assume the falafel is the main event and these should be amazing. It should have a crunch on the outside, but moist on the inside. Not.
The meze are really good. Baba ganoush, hummus, pickled condiments, tabouleh, dolma, sauces, labneh, all fresh and tasty, but I wouldn't say they are better than most places who offer these sides. Why the hell do they not include even one tiny piece of pita with this dish? I find this ridiculous.
I was disappointed that the falafels are drowned in tahini. Whether you order to eat in-house or to-go, no falafel will have the culinary integrity to withstand sauces and stay crispy. The taste of the falafel to me is average, at most. I also don't feel like the pieces of falafel themselves were made to order, so they might be a bit stale, which may be reason for sauce, since this would cover a pre-made falafel.
Based on the falafels and lack of pita provided for my meze, I give 3-stars.
You want the most perfect crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, large, epic falafel? Go to Med Delite in San Carlos. You will find...
Read moreYum! One of the few Mediterranean spots I've found that I've really enjoyed in the Bay Area.
I got the falafelle combo for delivery during COVID. It was HUGE, literally, it lasted me 2-3 meals. The combo was six falafel balls served with hummus, tabbouleh and two pieces of Dolma in a plate with zesty cabbage, beets, sauerkraut, roasted red peppers, house salad, pickled turnips, sumac onions, pickled cucumbers, mild banana peppers & garbanzo beans. It was my dream. I actually don't like tabbouleh, so I asked to sub it out for babaganoush, and they did! The falafel was bright green inside like they ought to be. The dolma were slightly dry and needed a bit more flavor, but there was ample flavor to the hummus, lots of smoke to the babaganoush, and the pickles and accoutrement were all perfect.
I definitely recommend and I can't wait to order again. I'd love to check them out in person once...
