I discovered Jade and Elise at the Belmont farmers market. They were parked under the trees in an unassuming black truck giving out flyers. I took a flyer and didn't think anything of it. I then met their daughter on the playground who was so kind and mature. I then went back and talked to her dad who was giving out the flyers and realised the kindness ran in the family. I decided to drive to their coffee shop, again in a very unassuming location, and bought this dark roast, ground "Espresso" for a maccineta. First I tried it on its own, then made it with warmed barrista oatly. I am not exaggerating when I say I haven't had coffee this good since I lived in the Bay Area. Moral of the story? I was really looking forward to visiting this coffee shop before heading home 7 hours away after seeing so many positive reviews. The coffee itself was very good, but the experience was unfortunately disappointing. We waited about 15 minutes just for our coffee, and more than 35 minutes for our food — which we never received. It turned out our order had been misplaced or forgotten, and if my husband hadn’t followed up, we wouldn’t have even known it hadn’t been started. Even then, we were told it would be another 18–20 minutes. While waiting, we overheard an employee mention that a wrong order had also been given to another customer, who then had to wait again for the correct one. To add to the concern, another guest before us shared that she had already been waiting 45 minutes...

I stumbled upon this gem of a café in Mt. Holly and it instantly became one of my favorite spots. The coffee is incredible, smooth, rich, and full of flavor. It’s even more special knowing the beans are grown on their own farm in Colombia and roasted right here in Mt. Holly. You can really taste the care and quality in every cup.

The breakfast is fresh and delicious, and the empanadas are a must-try. They’re perfectly crisp on the outside, flavorful on the inside, and honestly some of the best I’ve ever had.

What really sets this café apart is their mission. They donate 5% of their profits to help fight hunger in Colombia, which makes supporting them feel even better.
