Hibachi Days Sushi & Boba Tea — Restaurant in Belvidere Township

Fast casual dining, order at the bar, bus your own tables. The tables are cool looking but they're a bit close together & the chairs are not comfortable. (A wheelchair or walker would probably struggle a little bit but definitely do-able.) If you order Boba, you get to try your luck with a wand & prize game which was super cute. We were there after the dinner rush so our wait wasn't too bad, maybe 35 minutes. The staff was friendly.

Dish presentation was nice.

My daughter & I give it a 5/10 for sushi. The rice vinegar they add to their sushi rice was too strong. California roll 2/10 -neither of us liked it. Cucumber avocado roll 5/10 Philadelphia roll 6/10 Spicey Shrimp roll 7/10 Orange chicken-my 6 year old gave it a 10/10 however, the rest of us were not a fan as it was mushy and just blah. (That seems to be the other reviews I see as well.) House noodle (comes with chicken, steak, and shrimp) my husband gave it a 7/10. He said the meats were good but the noodles were a little too soft and it could have used more sauce.

Our total was just under $90 for the food, a small drink, 1 milk Boba, and a Japanese soda bottle. So not terrible, but I do feel like it was a little on the higher side for sushi items.

We will probably be back for the hibachi side but will probably skip the sushi next time.

Since I haven’t tried everything on the menu, the following review is only based on my first online pick up order today. Cute, clean place. Online ordering was convenient, Ample menu, good portions and prices. Staff were polite. My order was ready on time, correct and warm when I picked it up (though I did not get a notification when it was actually ready to pick up, just a pick up time. A notification would be nice to avoid me showing up before it’s ready. I ordered chicken & steak hibachi, spring rolls, dumplings, California sushi roll and here is my opinion.

Hibachi chicken/steak: Chicken: It was okay, dark meat (kind of fatty and not a lot of flavor. Would not order again

Steak: It was decent, cooked medium as ordered, tender and flavor was good

Vegetables: Cooked perfectly and the sauce was good

Rice: Cooked perfectly, good flavor

Spring rolls, crispy and flavorful plus the sauce they came with was also good

Dumplings: They were overdone but the filling was flavorful but the sauce..way too salty to by enjoyable in my opinion

My daughter enjoyed the California roll and said it was delicious (price was great for the portion compared to similar places)

Overall a positive experience and I plan on visiting again to try other items...

First time today and we loved it!! We ordered 3 speciality sushi rolls, gyoza, and steak fried rice and everything was delicious. The gyoza was crispy and yummy. The sushi rolls were beautiful crafted, fresh, and bursting with flavor. The beef fried rice was unique in flavor compared to basic fried rice but still very good with a yummy creamy sauce on the side. The first 2 rolls and the gyoza came out within 10min! And the rest shortly after. We also got a "token" to put into a machine and it spits out a ball with coupons and we got a free TNT roll with our next purchase! (I think you have to spend $50 in order to get a token). It was also delightfully inexpensive! Staff was friendly and polite. The restaurant is small but the building is bursting with cool designs, from the wall...
