Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Belvidere Township

Edit - I feel that the owner and the organization at least did something to try to satisfy the customer even if it was after the fact. This is a good indication of people that care.

Although I have had some experiences at this Jimmy Johns that have met my needs in the past, I am overall very disappointed. This location has an extremely small delivery area. So knowing this, I will go to the store and pick it up myself. On October 10 at 1pm, I visited the Belvidere Jimmy John's because I couldn't get a delivery out to my son who was working on a project in Candlewick at the time. When I got there I ordered my food and then the employee looked at me and said that unfortunately they were waiting on bread. I was dumbfounded because almost all sandwiches require bread. I did not come at an odd time of day - preparation should have been done. I asked how long it would be and they looked in the oven and told me it would be at least another 15 minutes. There was no signage anywhere. They were not short staffed as three employees stood by and watched this conversation take place. I was really baffled how they could be so unprepared like this. I was offered sliced wheat bread which is not a comparable substitute, in my opinion. Also to note, the employee with whom I was speaking was wearing a mask, however it was both under his nose and his mouth. I placed an online order for a post funeral luncheon. In my haze of grief, and state of distraction, I accidentally placed the online order for the wrong day!!! When the store contacted me the day BEFORE the funeral to tell me that my order was ready, I realized my mistake, and felt TERRIBLE!! The employees of the store we so, extremely, accommodating, and understanding of my mistake. They reassured me that it was absolutely not a problem, and were extremely helpful in advising me of how to correct my mistake and place the order for the following day. So when I went to pick up my order the next day, not only was the staff very accommodating, they also informed me that the prior days mistaken order was donated to the local police department. My delivery driver was extremely friendly even after I gave unclear location information on my app order!! I am a truck driver and am not super familiar with the area, so it's my fault, obviously! She called me from in front of the location I was at, and we were able to get it sorted quickly. She even tried to make me feel better about MY mistake!

I just wish I could remember her name so she could get proper credit, and hopefully a raise, she needs to be cloned and placed at all locations!

I did ask for a couple of small alterations to my sandwich, the gargantuan, and it came out PERFECT!
