My mom and I are backpacking in the atea and were so excited to walk to a bagel place from the motel. Buuuut we are def not doing back.
We weren't even acknowledged walking in. We ordered a BLT and a bagel w cream cheese. Both were black burnt. BLT was drowning in yellow mustard. When my mom brought it up to the counter he very snarkily replied "well, that's how we make it here." We saw him smile a total of 0 times, said hi to 0 people, and rolled his eyes as he slammed our burnt order in the trash. He had some fun slamming some cabinets too The menu says B.L.T. period. Maybe ask customers if they want some weird yellow mustard mayo combo drowning their sandwich and you wouldn't have to get so much attitude fixing it.
A female came out and said hi but didn't address any customers or orders, just left it all up to him.
I've worked in customer service and hospitality for nearly 25 years. Even on my worst days, I still treated people as I would want/be expected to be treated. If customers dont think you love your job, you're not doing it well, or your management sucks, or maybe a combo.
I am not the type to complain or send food back, but when you disrespect my mother, that's unacceptable. If we didn't walk there after miles and miles through snow, I would have left the second we walked in and felt like an uninvited guest.
And the bagels are...
Read moreIt's unfortunate that a store with freshly made, delicious bagels has such poor management and service. Employees are poorly trained and often have a poor attitude. You will regularly see employees go from dealing with cash to preparing orders, standing around while the queues are long, or standing in back when there is clearly need to be working up front. The entire establishment is wholly mismanaged. Considering they run out of bagels on several occasions, hours before close, you'd think they would prepare more bagels. The employees also seem to have different understanding of the policies of the store; if I want a bakers dozen I have to know it's available myself and request it. It should be offered automatically, especially since, in the past year, all of their prices have increased two-fold with zero increase in...
Read moreThis was my first time in Big o bagels and I have to say I was a bit disappointed I understand that I'm just getting a bagel breakfast sandwich but with tip it came to $9 when the nice young lady handed me the sandwich I could already tell right off there was nothing on it it was super light. When I opened it up it was fresh and hot and the bagel was great everything inside the sandwich was good problem I have is there's not very much food on the sandwich. I get that it's only $7.50 but maybe consider throwing an extra egg on and an extra cheese just to make the sandwich a little bigger just a suggestion. I would have to honestly say I probably would not come back mainly because after I ate the sandwich I had to eat again as it was just...
