This pizza is fantastic! Specifically the crust. Absolutely no complaints on toppings and sauce. I’m not going to beat them up like a jackass for a few black spots on the bottom or for the pizza appearing limp when held in hand. They were super overwhelmed last night and we ended up waiting quite a while for our to go order. They ended up buying us a beer while we waited which was really nice. Our order did get goofed up a bit and we got 1 large and 2 small pizzas when we ordered 2 large and 1 small. Didn’t even realize this until we returned home 🤦🏼♂️ I called the store and the call went straight to vm (assuming that was because they were overloaded with calls and orders as it was). I left a message regarding the situation and hoping to hear back today sometime. It sounds like they’ve been open for less than a month and are still working things out logistically. If you give them a try, keep this in mind and be patient and kind if you have to wait longer than expected. And if you know what’s good for you, confirm your order before leaving the store with it! Atmosphere was lacking a little bit but again, they just opened so they get a free pass. Maybe paint the wall behind the tv or something so it’s not shockingly bright white. Regardless, I can’t wait to return next...
Read moreWe ordered the Fiesta Asada pizza for me, because I am allergic to bell peppers and bell peppers were not listed anywhere on the ingredients. Guess what, we get it here and it's covered in bell peppers. Bell peppers are the largest allergen outside of tree nuts (look it up, lazy Fat Tony's owners), and yet they don't even put it on the menu that it's an ingredient. So we're throwing this pizza away, and not only that, we ordered tiramisu with two pizzas, and they did not provide it. So good luck with this place, they are clearly a mess in the kitchen. And not only that, ownership should be ashamed of themselves for not listing bell peppers, the number one allergen in the fruit family, as an ingredient. If someone like me where to get really sick and then sue them, they would lose. Hands-down. That's a flagrant violation of food ethics. Imagine if I was a kid, with a babysitter who was told that Bell peppers would send me into anaphylactic shock, so he/she orders this pizza thinking it's all good. And being young, the sitter is busy on the phone and just hands over the pizza. The kid goes into shock, can't breathe, and dies. Nice...
Read moreAbout 2 months ago I was hoping to get a slice, had seen somewhere (maybe Google review?) that slices were available here. I grew up down the street and was excited at the prospect of a slice shop in my neighborhood. Wasn’t the case, so I just ordered a small pizza. The inside was seemingly under construction (I hope). The pizza was so exceedingly average, like literally nothing remarkable about it, could have come from some nameless pizza joint in just about anywhere in the country. It was kind of expensive too. Definitely a let down cuz the old restaurant that used to be in this space was a beloved institution of Old Bend.
I’m guessing this place is banking on vacationers staying in the area looking for food and drinks nearby, maybe hoping to catch a few boozed up folks from the brewery tasting room across the road. I won’t be going back, homegrown locals know the real Bend...
