MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Bend

First time to MOD pizza and I am sure I will return. Thankfully for my waistline there isn't one super close to me or I might be in trouble. What a great idea to have a Subway style bar where you choose any toppings.... yes I said any....for a flat cost. For just over $7 you could put every meat, every cheese, everything imaginable on the pizza. They also have already crafted ideas on the menu in case you are not as adventurous. I tried several different combos on my pizza - just adding a topping to one section to try it out. I had chicken and artichokes and olives, and onions... and I can't even remember everything.....and then added Gorgonzola and buffalo drizzle at the end. It was cooked and ready for enjoying in just a couple minutes. They have beer, wine, & soda to enjoy when dining in also. Very fun for families where everyone gets exactly what they want. I guess the only downside I see is that you might really enjoy a combination that you create.... and not be able to remember the exact recipe...

Customer Service Epic Fail! I took my family to mod pizza tonight for dinner. 1-When my name was called I went to counter where I saw my 3 pizzas burnt to a crisp. Employees were arguing and the cook (or manager) said, “just serve them like that”. I had to ask for them to be remade.

2-while waiting for the remake, a staff member came over to our table and told us we were not allowed to have more than 6 and had to split up! I explained that we were ONE family. 2 Adults and 5 kids. Didn’t matter! I decided to leave.

3-now waiting outside for the remake, I was furious but kept my cool. My wife went in and got the order. NO Apology, NO acknowledgement and worst costumer care ever.

Mod - train your employees & train your kitchen staff. It’s obvious that you hired a marketing manager and forgot to hire someone to build culture and manage and coach people. I was waiting in line to order my usual Jasper with extra cheese when the woman in front of me started talking in an extremely condescending tone to an employee that made an honest mistake. She tried to humiliate him, despite all of this he calmly responded with “let me make a new one for you” and smiled.

To that woman: This is why your kids don’t talk to you at all.

To the server: You are awesome and you deserve a raise for how you handled that. I can honestly say that would have been a point where I got fired for saying something inappropriate in response.

Now for the review; normally some of the pizzas have a small amount of cheese, this is consistent across all of the stores. But as usual the pizza was just what I wanted and always comes out perfect.
