Fresco and Fryed — Restaurant in Bend

Unfortunately, Fresco and Fryed was a massive disappointment. We ordered the Best Coast Hot Chicken Sando and Rude Boi chicken sandwich. The menu and website makes the food appear like a fine dining experience with elevated flavor profiles. The Rude Boi was incredibly over-fried to the point where the protein darkens and is chewy in texture. In addition, excessive amounts of jalapeños and sauce made the bun soggy and unpleasant. On the other hand, my chicken breast was fried perfectly and was juicy/tender. However, my pickled veggies were so wet that they disintegrated into mushy pink paste that ruined any textural interest. The aioli was UNSERVABLE, due to its heat level. I could only get through a third of the sandwich and I have a heat tolerant palate. But It’s always alarming when there are distinct disparities in “doness” especially when it concerns poultry items. That alone is reason to take your business elsewhere. My last issue is with the crinkle cut fries…where on the menu and online does it show crinkle cut fries? Clearly they were deep fried from frozen and coated in a ridiculous amount of seasoning as you can from the pictures. It was truly a salt lick of the highest order. For $50, I expect more. Otto’s Landing, however, is a fantastic place to grab a drink and socialize. I would suggest trying any other food truck...

I was excited to try this place based on the reviews and website, but it was short on quality and customer service. We ordered and paid for 2 gaucho burgers. When my husband went to pick them up they were missing several ingredients. They were rude to my husband when he asked about it, and said they ran out. Um, that's something you should tell your customers beforehand, or amend your menu to reflect the shortage. Or compensated us for your inability to provide a complete product.

Not only do I wish I hadn't spent $40 on mediocre burgers and fries, but I paid for rudeness and secrecy. Never going back, no matter how enticing the menu appears.

Edited to add: Owner's response to this review acknowledges that we were served our meal without all of the ingredients, and they didn't try to rectify it in any way. The burger was mediocre because it was incomplete! Rudeness was detected by my husband picking up the order, I wasn't there to witness the interaction to confirm or deny the emotions present. My own opinion of the burger I ate stands, as does the money I paid for half...

Absolutely incredible and noteworthy chicken sandwiches! Wow!

Was actually looking for a burger but stumbled across these guys during my search. Gaucho burger looked amazing (will be back to try) but their chicken sandwiches caught my eye as unique and we had to try them!

Picked up the Rude Boi and the Best Coast, noting their special additions; peach-lemon marmalade and pineapple-jalapeno slaw respectively amongst several other interesting flavors to set them apart.

The included "Fryes" were a pleasant surprise as well, with their sweet and spicy seasoning lovingly spread throughout the wavy-cut fries.

Customer interaction stood out even over the phone as friendly and pleasant, and was followed up with great service as we picked up our order.

6/5 stars! We even arrived later than anticipated from when we placed our order (our fault!!) and even having cooled somewhat, they were delicious. We can't wait to come back to try other menu items, and...
