I came in with another friend while we were passing through Bend on an Oregon trip, we came around 3 pm so it wasn't very busy, which gave us time to look over the menu! We were immediately greeted by a few of the employees, they were very nice, I didn't catch their names though. They asked us if we were first timers and gave a run down of their menu, asked us if we wanted to sit and look over the menu and brought us fresh fried potato chips while we decided what to eat! Very nice of them. We ordered the Briqueso and the pizza sandwiches. The Briqueso was my favorite! Full of veggies and flavor, the pizza was very yummy too, I just preferred the veggies at the time. The woman who served us too also gave us one of their dips for free for the chips since it was our first time there. We also ordered their mac and cheese, very delicious. That was very kind and it was very delicious. Whenever I'm in Bend next, I'll be bringing everybody with me here again! Very nice, very yummy, great service, great food! I patiently waited over 20 min for my order and then was basically blamed for all the confusion because I “didn’t take my number card when I ordered” (I and many other people there were never given one). I was asked what I ordered again, given my food 3 minutes later, and then got home to discover I got the completely wrong order. (I ordered a specialty sandwich with hamburger and caramelized onions and got a basic grilled cheese with either blue or Gorgonzola cheese… which I can’t eat). 🙄
It’s one thing to get flustered in a rush and make some mistakes, but to make the same mistakes over and over again even after being corrected multiple times and then to try to blame it on the customers… not cool.
Food was about what you’d expect for a fast food place - nothing special and definitely not worth the annoyance or cost… paid $20 for a side soup and full sandwich (no drink) and got a sandwich that probably should have only been $12 that I couldn’t eat...
Read moreI wish... I could leave a review... higher than 5 stars. The gentleman, Terry, who graced the lobby, delivered the finest service I've ever encountered in my life. You may think my words drip with sarcasm... but I tell you now, I was genuinely thrilled by the level of care at this modest yet exquisite establishment.
As we waited for our humble carryout order, Terry—nay, a guardian angel of hospitality—brought forth fresh, hot chips, still sizzling from the fryer, for free. Yes, you heard me... FOR FREE. I was stunned, shocked, in awe of such a rare act of kindness.
We watched as he served the surrounding tables with the same grace and dedication. We, mere travelers from Bellingham, Washington, now wish—no, long—to pack both Meltz and Terry into our luggage, to carry this unmatched experience with us forever.
In all seriousness, this was a meal to remember. Not only for the quality and freshness of the food but for the sheer warmth and generosity of the workers. I can only say... go. Experience it...
