Hello! I have been coming here for almost two years and up until 6ish months ago it was reallly good. Just as of today 03/05/22 a friend and I came through. We texted at friend at 4:30pm saying we just got in line and should be over soon, it was backed up only until the end of their DT line.
We left the line at 5:25.
There were two employees that we could see and two additional guests in their lobby that we could see. The window girl never acknowledged the wait, an apology, did not read back our order, and did not offer us a receipt. There was no offered explanation to the LONG wait. I do understand that in COVID times most places are understaffed and rushes can be tough. But with less then 10 cars in their line and a hour long wait seems more then excessive. All three of our large drinks were wrong and the banana bread we ordered was smaller then the normal slices and rock hard.
I leave the two stars not just for this one experience which in itself could be a bad day. I have come here so many times and ordered the exact same thing and it tastes significantly different each time. Working in the service industry is hard sometimes. I get it. But after months of constantly messing up my orders, including not using dairy substitutes that I request and pay for, I am more then bit over it. This location has been fantastic and is great in closeness to my job which has been the reason I keep returning but at this point it seems they are blatantly not putting in effort.
I have had some amazing service at this location. Some have been recent but most are from old employees. It shouldn’t have to be a 50/50 on having an accurate order, and more of a once in a while thing but it’s not.
Normally speed has not been an issue but accuracy is. I do hope that maybe something was going on and it wasn’t the employees fault for the hour long wait. I would like to be contacted if there is an explanation. I’m trying so hard to not be a Karen but this location has some improvements that definitely need to be made. First off, we asked to use a coupon on our app. It showed it was available and we even waited until after noon to come just so we could use it and the lady taking the money said oh it didn't let me click that option. We tried to show her it was available in our app but she just snobbily said well, it's not giving me that option and I don't control it. I wanted to said, Well, how about getting a manager over then? But we let it go. She then asked us twice if we wanted to use our free drink, which we already had told her we wanted to save it. When we repeated we wanted to save it, she said, okay well it does expire in February. Yes we know this. Then we asked her to wait a moment before running out card as we were transferring the extra funds since the coupon was not being honored, and of course she didn't wait. Then loudly tells us we had been declined. Duh. We told her we had asked her to wait and she was oh well most people don't say that. Really???? And lastly, our smoothie wasn't even filled up (make sure you ask for whipp d cream if you want a full drink here. If you don't want the whip, you won't have a full, full priced drink.) and she didnt bother asking if I wanted a sleeve or stopper for my hot drink. They don't like giving those out at this BR. Second time in two days that they didn't give me one and I burned myself badly yesterday because I don't have one. She looked less than thrilled to be asked for it. I have been to BR locations all over the state and this is by far the worst one. One out of four smoothies have been made correctly, no sleeves/stoppers and now today a terrible attitude with the least help from any service worker. That's strike three. Guess we will be finding a new coffeehouse. Oof. It got worse. I tried my breve finally, and it's burnt. So bitter I can't even drink it.
