West Side Tavern — Restaurant in Bend

Locals only or you won't get service. Came sober to play pool and, per usual, some drunk guy tried icing me out. I was sober and paying attention so I called him out for it and told by the MALE bartender I was causing problems and should have been quiet about the way I was being treated. We love a late night bar but the preferential treatment Is palpable. If you are new you will have a long way to go to get good service. Especially if you are a female. If that's the case then be prepared to receive inferior treatment for the sake of The misogynists and told youre the problem. I stopped in to visit here from out of town, and I'm sorry to say the friendliness and hospitality I experienced in the rest of Bend is the polar opposite of my experience here. The female bartender practically chased my friends and I out after we ordered our drinks. The place was completely empty when we showed up and not close to closing, so I have no clue why she was so hostile to us. This is no way to run a business, and with so many amazing beer options in town I would recommend you look anywhere but here if you want to be treated nicely. So here's my issue, I love the Westside but for the first time ever in my life this evening I witnessed racial profiling. My friend who is new in to town went to order a drink completely sober and was shot down very rudely. Me and my friends were appalled by the behavior of the bar back. I've never seen people be so rude in my life. Like ond he kindly asked for a drink and she was so rude and even raised her voice! Classy. I am a business owner and would never treat anyone like that.
