McDonald's — Restaurant in Bennington

Today I made a purchase of 4 Value Meals. I waited but not too long, I received my food portion of my order and NO Drinks. I waited a few minutes longer and finally asked the girl at the counter politely where my drinks were? She told me that she did not take my order and that I needed to show my receipt. She was standing at the counter while I placed my order. I showed my receipt; was given a hard time as they now had to pour 4 drinks. I asked for two of them to be with no ice and the girl snapped back at me that they could only do that with Manger approval. Being now irritated I requested to speak to the Manager. She came forward. I explained why I was unhappy. Requested two drinks with no ice, and she refused. The girl at the counter stated that she had not taken my order. She was partially correct. The girl she replaced was taken from the counter mid-order and sent to another job. The manager asked what drinks I had ordered rather than looking at my receipt as they seem very anal about; and as she was filling the drink order the original counter person told her that I had ordered Root beers for the order. I give this a 1 star at Best! Complete lack of cooperation, coordination, and Team leadership. Rude personnel and the Manager did nothing to honor my very simple request of no ice in two drinks. Been DoorDashing for them for years, they’ve always been pretty good, but they’ve decided to lock food delivery drivers out of the lobby, forcing us to go through the drive thru, which cuts our pay by 50-75% due to wasted time. Decent food, usually pretty decent experience, but 1 star for cutting my pay so significantly. I can’t make a living like this.

Update, been awhile since this review, and they haven’t been locking us out like they used to, but we’ll see what they do the same time of year, towards winter. I’ll change the review if they stop doing that.

Officially has gone from a 1 star, to a 5 star review. They very very rarely will lock food delivery drivers out and force us to wait 30 minutes in the drive thru like they used to. It also helps that McDonald’s is no longer 1 of like 4 places that offer gig food delivery, now they’re like 1 of 12. The food is always good, they’re almost always nice and friendly, hardly ever get orders wrong in comparison to other local fast food places. Biggest recommendation is to check your bag before leaving if you order drive thru or pickup. 9/10 of the times the order will be missing an item or completely incorrect. I understand quick service, but I can’t be the only one who would rather wait another minute or two so that I get my order correctly because otherwise, it’s taking 1-2 minutes or longer anyway because I have to go back in and wait for the correct item. While I understand it’s called fast food, that doesn’t mean reading the order should be such a quick glance I have more incorrect order than correct orders. People are very nice that I’ve spoke to. There are two main team members that are always pleasant and friendly making the experience better especially if something goes wrong. Atmosphere isn’t horrible unless...
