Circle Chinese — Restaurant in Berlin

This is our first time ordering from this place. I read the reviews here prior to my order. That was a mistake. I read that the dumplings were the best, the food was fresh. (Maybe bots placed these reviews?) I immediately resented this choice of take out when I sipped the "homemade" iced tea. I've had this from other restaurants and its always served the same and is comparable to sweet tea. This tea had a purely chemical after taste (that comes from sitting in refrigeration for too long). Each one of the 5 teas ( × $1.25 each) had to be discarded after seeing a brown, sludgy residue on the bottom. The dark brown overly textured meat🤮 inside the dumplings, was the same as the meat inside our wontons soup. It does not have any flavor and is hard to identify because of its tough, dark, gristled texture. The dumplings, although crispy, are extremely doughy. Some people like that. I dont, I find it a compensation for cheap meat. The egg rolls were crispy (and greasy) on the outside with (it seems) only cabbage inside and were tasteless. 👎 The pork fried rice was good, the broccoli was undercooked. This is not uncommon when using commercial steamers for large amounts of vegetables so for that, I am forgiving. The chicken in my dish was overly breaded - as with a thick batter. Which again, may be compensation for the meat quality. I enjoyed the hot and sour soup. There was a free 2 liter of soda with our order which was a plus. 👎So, 76.00(+ tip) later, my family and I have decided we will stick with cooking Chinese dishes ourself and when splurging on a take out place, avoid this place in the future. I placed an email order with 9 different items snd when I got to our family’s house with the food the General Tsos combination platter was missing. I called and the women was giving me a hard time. She asked me to tell me everything I ordered and I gave her my order # and explained I just picked up and not going to rin through my order - I simply didn’t receive the item. I was frustrated and explained I would not order again & write a review and hung up. Only then they called back and wanted me to come and pick up the missing order. I didn’t go because I was already inconvenienced and they should have issued a refund. The food was salty and rice was mushy. First off when I called to make an order for delivery after giving my card info the guy on the phone practically said I have to leave a tip so I said I’d just give cash. The delivery guy comes and when I take my food he says “Where’s my tip” I was so close to slamming the door in his face because why do you feel the need to DEMAND a tip. I gave him a few dollars ONLY because it was raining. On top of that the food was disgusting. I don’t think I’ve ever had bad chinese food but the sauce was watery and the shrimp and broccoli had a very odd taste. I will never be ordering...
