Sundaes Homemade — Restaurant in Berlin Township

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Sundaes in Berlin, NJ, and I have nothing but great things to say about this dessert place. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and friendly service provided by the staff. They were personable and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience.

The highlight of my visit was definitely the ice cream, particularly the better butter pecan flavor. I can honestly say that it was phenomenal. The ice cream was incredibly creamy and packed with the perfect balance of buttery and nutty flavors. It was the ideal treat to enjoy on a hot summer day.

Not only was the food fantastic, but the overall ambiance of Sundaes was also delightful. The outdoor seating area was clean and welcoming, making it an ideal spot to relax and savor your dessert. Additionally, I loved watching the hustle and bustle of the amazing drive-thru. It added an extra layer of fun to my visit.

The ice cream is delicious but recently I ordered ahead online like I usually do. You put your car info in and they have a drive around section for cars to come pickup their orders. I was watching YouTube so I didn’t realize I sat in line for over 20minutes (order was in for 30min total) while everyone else got served. Several cars drove around me from behind people walking in and out. I got out and ask if they got my order, they said yes it’s right here, handed me a bag from the freezer with my name and car info. The only thing I can think of is that on this order I don’t think I tipped. I normally give a little extra but was ordering while driving and it’s a pretty involved online process. But honestly $20 for milkshakes, if they don’t think they’re paid enough, they should take it up with their boss not take it out on the customer. Don’t offer a drive up service to compete with other chains if your staff are going to decide how that process works. Or charge a service fee more than the .30cents online. They have ice cream with and without sugar, water ice with and without dairy, soft serve, low sugar, no sugar, lactose free, and vegan options. :) They have a lot of flavors, milkshakes, sundaes, floats, different cones, and toppings. Check their website or call if you want to know if they have something specific. Our house is partial to the ice cream and we tend to stick with the Vanilla Chocolate Chip, Pistachio, and the NJ Peach (seasonal). I recently tried the Dark side of the moon which is chocolate ice cream with caramel, peanut butter, and Reese's cups. So good! The atmosphere is simple and clean. They have counter service, a drive through, and just a few tables outside so we always get ours to go.
