WOW! My to-go experience with Colorado Curry (Berthoud) was wonderful and then some! We placed an online order around 7:30pm, and it was ready for pick up inside Grandpa’s Cafe merely 15-20 minutes later. I was able to pick it up quickly and also have a lovely exchange of words with the staff before heading home to enjoy the pleasantly aromatic food. All of it was unquestionably delicious and felt authentic. I ordered the chicken tikka masala, chicken vindaloo, and the chicken saag. The basmati rice that comes with all of the entrées is light and fluffy just the way it’s supposed to be.
My absolute favorite dish is the chicken tikka masala. It’s a creamy tomato-based curry that is extremely rich and luscious. I opted for extra cream and I definitely recommend doing the same if your stomach can handle both the spice and the dairy. The chicken saag comes in at a close second; it had a lovely, delicate fragrance and tasted phenomenal. It’s a healthy chicken and spinach curry that’s mouthwatering due to the flavor bomb of spices it provides. Last, but certainly not least, the chicken vindaloo contains intensely spiced chicken with potatoes, herbs, and spices. The divine tangy sauce that it all sits in has plenty of bright, acidic, and vinegary notes. Each dish was uniquely brilliant - my mouth is salivating just from writing this review.
The portions are much bigger than other restaurants. Initially, I was wary of their price being a dollar or two more than other restaurants, but now I can understand why! I’d say the price-to-portion ratio is reasonable. You get a hefty amount of protein as well as sauce in the entrées, plus massive portions of delightful basmati rice...

We came in to order takeout and were greeted by the Owner. He was very friendly and answered our questions, as well as informing us about one of the dishes that would take a bit longer to prepare.
We had the Momos, Samosa, Chicken Biriyani, and Butter Naan. All of the food was cooked just right, and was well seasoned but not over seasoned as some Indian Restaurants do. We are occasional Indian food eaters, but have tried top rated restaurants in 4 different states. This was as good as the best we have had (a restaurant in Salt Lake City).
Give it a try. You won't be...
