This was our first visit, and it won’t be the last. We were seated by a very friendly hostess immediately upon arrival. We were very impressed at the many menu choices. (Thank you for offering both vegetarian and meat lasagna!) My husband ordered the Rigatoni Giganti alla Vodka. He’s extremely picky when he orders Italian food at restaurants and usually finds something to critique, but this time, he couldn’t! The sauce was delicious and the pasta was perfectly done, and the entire dish was packed with flavor and he had no leftovers to bring home, he couldn’t stop eating it! My dish was the chicken and eggplant parm duo with fettuccine. First of all, I need to compliment the chef on the red sauce. It was robust, not too sweet, and the consistency was perfect, not watery in the least. The chicken cutlet was tender enough to cut with just the fork, and it had the exact amount of mozzarella. At first I was a little shocked the eggplant had no mozzarella, as that has always been how it was served to me, but one bite and I realized it was so full of flavor the mozzarella wasn’t even necessary. (I did find out after the fact the restaurant does not include mozzarella in their eggplant parm recipe. I didn’t feel it was needed, but if it’s something you prefer, make sure to tell your server when they take your order.). My fettuccine, like my husband’s rigatoni, was fresh and perfectly al dante. My teenage son had the vegetarian lasagna, which he said was great. Just as I did, , he believes the red sauce is better than any restaurant he’s been to. He didn’t leave any on his plate, so it definitely was! We also had an order of garlic bread. I couldn’t finish and took half of mine home. I’m excited to have it for lunch tomorrow! For dessert, we each had a gelato, which is perfectly sized to complement the meal, and cold and creamy as ever with just the perfect amount of sweetness. Our server was very good (I’m sorry, but I don’t recall his name), greeted us warmly annd offered drinks and bread as we were settling in. When he came back with the garlic bread, my son had to ask for a drink refill, and then we didn’t see him again until he brought the box over for my leftovers, never offered a refill at all to me or my husband. We would have appreciated the offer/suggestion, and would have waved him down, but he must have been in the back for most of our meal, because I didn’t see much of him. I wish I could give four and a half stars, but because we weren’t able to request a drink refill, I can’t warrant a five-star review. Overall, however, we were very pleased and we will definitely go back to Giuseppe’s in the future. Thank you for such an...
Read moreWent on a Saturday evening, it was very crowded and very busy. Our party of four was seated after a short wait time, during which we were able to explore their Market store! We were seated in a roomy booth, and greeted by our waiter with a basket of bread and butter. He took our drink order, and gave us time to review the menu. He brought our drinks in a timely manner, then took our food orders. The two men ordered meat and cheese lasagnas, my Granddaugher order the chicken and broccoli alfredo, and I ordered the duo parmesan of chicken and eggplant. We also order garlic bread and a bruschetta to come out with our meals, but our waiter respectfully suggested that he place the order for the breads first, and place the dinner order as soon as the breads were ready to be served. We agreed with his suggestion and we were very glad we did. We had just enough time for some pleasant conversation when he brought us the garlic bread and bruschetta. Both were excellent, but the bruschetta was the winner at the table. The garlic bread was tasty and cheesy, but I would've liked a little more garlic. The bruschetta was piled high with fresh chopped tomatoes, red onion, parsley, just enough seasonings and drizzled with an excellent balsamic! It was amazing. Our food arrived in a timely manner. Each order was prepared perfectly, and served hot! The lasagna was a perfect balance of pasta, cheeses and meat sauce. The portions were oversized, and our guys were challenged to finish it, but both men cleaned their plates! The chicken broccoli alfredo was an almost overflowing bowl of fresh pasta, perfectly cooked broccoli and plenty of chicken in a creamy, cheesy, garlicky alfredo sauce that was just the right consistancy. My Granddaughter ate her fill and took plenty home for another meal. My parmesan duo did not disappoint! Served piping hot, a plentiful platter. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly, and the flaverful marinara covered the pasta, eggplant and chicken. There was a perfect amount of creamy, melted mozzeralla that covered the eggplant and chicken, both of which were breaded with just enough, perfectly seasoned mixture and cooked just right. There was more than enough to bring home and have for lunch the next day. We all agreed the food was outstanding, the service was friendly and attentive without being pushy, we never felt rushed, and we're looking forward to...
Read moreI have now tried the Beverly location twice, once for take out, the other dine in. When I got take out, I thought the chicken marsala was tasteless and only had a couple bites. However, my bigger issue is the service we received when I dined in. My family and I dined in and had a very poor experience. The food was subpar, nothing wrong with it but also nothing exceptional in terms of taste. The service we received from our waitress, Lisa was very off putting and quite astonishing. I’d advise the next time a waitress wants to complain about customers, to do not do so to at the hostess table that was right behind us.
Backstory: Initially upon sitting down, our waitress, Lisa was friendly and attentive. After she checked on us a couple minutes after we had gotten our food, she never returned. A couple of us had ordered drinks and would’ve loved to order another but we’re never tended to. One member of our party had to ask the hostess (who was very nice and professional) to find our waitress so at that point after waiting at least 20 minutes, we could get our check, it was too late for another drink at that point because we were done eating. Our waitress returned with an attitude. No eye contact, shortness. She started stacking plates and then proceeded to grab my (small saucer size) plate that had a roll and butter that I was picking at (again we were done with our meal but I find picking at a little food on your plate isn’t unheard of while waiting for the check.) This apparently annoyed the waitress even further because she then proceeded to talk about us to the hostess that was about 5 feet from us. I confirmed with the hostes this was the case.
I might try this location one more time and sit at the bar to hopefully have a...
