The Cookie Monstah Beverly — Restaurant in Beverly

I received a birthday coupon for a free cookie in my email back in January and it was expiring yesterday so I made a special trip to the store to redeem the coupon. I love Cookie Monstah cookies and have always had a good experience purchasing cookies from this location.

But yesterday was exceptionally frustrating. I showed the clerk my coupon which said redeem online or in store. She told me I can only redeem it online. I thought that was absurd since the code was right on the printed email I showed her but I made the trip outside in bitter cold weather across the parking lot to go get my purse which I had left there and came back.

I then tried to log in to the Cookie Monstah website and order my free cookie online. This was not working and I finally told the clerk I give up and I'm leaving. I was mad and told her they should not send people coupons that don't work without this much work and I was upset. I told her I would be writing a negative review. At that point she told me "well I'll give you a cookie!" and I asked her, why she made me go through all this when she could have just given me the cookie that the coupon told me I had? She had no response.

She was unsmiling, unwelcoming, unapologetic and unpleasant. I have been a loyal cookie monstah customer for years but this left such a bad taste in my mouth I will not shop here again and will not recommend...

I don't typically leave reviews, but there's nowhere else to put in a complaint. Ordered a dozen cookies on my last night in the area. The two girls working were so unwelcoming. I know it's not the most thrilling place, especially at 8pm on a Monday, but at least show some energy. They barely even said hello, so it doesn't surprise me that they didn't mention to me that they were sold out of one of the cookies. Instead, I received the note and chip in the pictures. First, it's not a "free cookie" if I already paid for it, and you only gave me 11 out of my dozen, it's a rain check. Second, a rain check would be fine if I wasn't 9 hours from my closest Cookie Monstah. Had they literally just told me this when I picked up my order, I would've picked another one at that moment. Instead I now have a poker chip IOU for a cookie somewhere nearly 10hrs...

The wait staff at Cookie Monster in Beverly is exceptional. They are extremely nice, helpful and very accommodating. They are so good with children. I bring my 5-year-old and my 8-year-old nephews and they are so good to them . They have ice cream there and they give you a very very good serving for five bucks. It's Richardson's dairy ice cream which is the best. You will love it there. Blessings...
