If you’re into coffee, books, and brews or wine, Elements might be your type of place. This is hands down my favorite coffee shop in all of Southern Maine. I don’t even reside in Biddeford and will go out of my way to spend some time at Elements — that’s how special it is. I remember the first time I visited Elements last summer. As soon as I walked in, I was taken aback by the incredible atmosphere, extensive coffee menu, and wine + beer options. Seriously, we need more coffee shops offering adult beverages, too. The coffee selection is impressive and — the best part — with some of the best prices in Southern Maine. For instance, you can get a pour-over for $3, and you get to pick your preferred coffee beans. I haven’t seen many other places doing that. The coffee is served in beautiful mugs (if you’re drinking in) that make you feel like you’re at a posh coffee shop. Outside of coffee, you can also choose local beer or a glass of wine, both at excellent prices, too. And that’s exactly what I love about Elements — with what they offer, they could’ve quickly decided to be an overpriced and pretentious coffee shop. We’ve all seen those. But instead, they’re a down-to-earth and welcoming space for everyone. Lastly, the books! They have punch cards where you get one free book after a few purchases, and most of the books are all under the cover price, even though they are brand new. You can get books here at half the price (or more) than traditional bookstores. Elements… please don’t ever change!

If you’re looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a great cup of coffee while getting some work done or networking with like-minded professionals, Elements is the perfect place. This charming cafe blends a laid-back atmosphere with a modern, professional edge that makes it ideal for both solo work and group collaborations. The interior is a stylish mix of industrial and contemporary, featuring sleek wooden tables, comfortable seating, and plenty of natural light streaming through large windows. There’s a quiet, peaceful hum in the air—perfect for focusing on work without feeling distracted. With its plush seating, high-top tables, and cozy corners, it encourages casual meetings and spontaneous conversations. Elements is more than just a place to grab a coffee, it’s a thriving hub for productivity and connection. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick meeting, an afternoon of focused work, or just to grab a delicious drink, it’s the kind of place where you can feel productive and inspired. With its perfect blend of ambiance, quality coffee, and a thoughtfully designed networking space, it’s a must-visit for anyone who wants to work in a comfortable, community-driven environment.

The staff were all exceptionally nice and helpful. We got a bagel with hummus and tomato, the vegan “granola bar” (which is more like a British flapjack than a granola bar. It’s like an oaty nutty fruity dense cake. **Not** overly sweet like a granola bar that’s held together with lots of syrup.) and we also got a mocha coffee with oatmilk (they also had soy and almond options) The bagel was tender and chewy with a pleasant crispy crust. The mocha was quite nice. A mild coffee flavor, and the chocolate flavor was more prevalent. We also grabbed a bag of little lad’s herbal corn here. Nooch and herbs. It was an enjoyable mix of flavors that I hadn’t had before. The bookstore aspect was pretty cool. They had a lot of different books. They had different sections they focused on. Cookbooks bear the register, and also a section for for black authors. Unfortunately the holy donut flavor they carry isn’t vegan. It would be nice to see more options here.
