Mechanics Park — Attraction in Kennebunkport

Mechanics Park is a wonderful year round park, which is very well maintained by the city! In the spring, summer and fall consider it for a beautiful out door wedding or any social event. Walk your dog, skateboard, play soccer or football, have a picnic, use the fitness equipment, bring your classroom and explore nature, there are so many things to do! During the winter months, it offers space for sledding, tubbing, snow boarding or build a snowman or snow angels!

Mechanics Park is a public park in downtown Biddeford near the mill building. The park has a brick public gazebo structure overlooking the Saco River. The park has a wide open space with plenty of nearby parking and bike racks. Short paved trails run through parts of the park overlooking the river and mills with benches.

It's a great park especially in good weather. I always encounter friendly people down there. Great for birthday...

What I love about mechanics park is you can stand in the gazebo and view tent city. Then you can turn around and see the building responsible for these people living in tents (the mill) ... You see prior to the mill apartments charging $2,000-3,000 in rent you could easily find an apartment for $700 in this neighborhood.. now we've gentrified and forgotten an entire population. I HATE DOUG (America's worst landlord and the owner...
