The City Theater is one of Biddeford's many gems highlighting the revival of downtown, aka, "the Biddessaince." With an intriguing history that included being used to store gravel in the mid-1970s, I'm glad the the theater's many volunteers cared enough about historical preservation to bring the theater back to it's current state.
My wife and I saw “It’s A Wonderful Life: Live From WVL Radio Theatre," a "live radio broadcast" and an new take on the classic Christmas tale. The theater was about 3/4 full and everything was first-rate. I like that they offer beer and wine at intermission.
Then, we saw "Holly Star," filmed locally in Biddeford/Saco. Another great experience, experiencing this wonderful, historic theater in the heart of downtown.
