I ordered 3 coffees on the mobile app. Went smooth until I got to the pick up window where I was asked to pull forward to wait for my 3 drinks. I said no I'll wait here I could see they were almost done. She continues to tell me "No thats not gonna happen you need to pull forward." So I said "Yes it is happening I'll wait right here", they were right there waiting for lids. Then the employee says "Okay I'll have to get a manager" so I said "good, okay" with two thumbs up and a smile. Before that employee could get a manager maybe 30sec after that interaction, the employee making my coffees handed me my drinks, politely and with a smile says "Hope you have a blessed day." If the first employee would have waited 1min the drinks were ready. I'm not moving forward to falsify your timers and let you continue to look good to corporate so you can get the excessive pay for good times. Be real with it and let corporate see how slow your speed really is because if you didn't pull people forward to wait 20min for there food your times would be bad. I've had to sit for 20min before waiting for my 3 drinks to be bad by the time I got them because I was forgotten when I pulled forward. That's why I refused to pull forward. It doesn't take 20min to make 3 iced coffees...I know, I've done the job before, and I was only 16 when I worked there. When I worked at this same exact location 14 years ago that would have been unacceptable. This is still unacceptable whether you want to see it that way or not its fast food its supposed to be fast. Drinks should be in and out. I will continue to refuse to move forward for drinks when told to move forward, because I was not asked I was told. What happened to "The customer is always right"? Your employees want $16 an hour then they best put some pep in there step cause this lazy, slow, pull forward bs is getting old. My time is just as valuable as yours. And the next time an employee wants to argue with me I will directly be reporting that employee to corporate. I'm done being disrespected like this. This is easily the 4th time this year I've dealt with this kind of behavior, and the second time I've been disrespected like this from the big rapids store, you might want to check it out. A little advise from my customer service work is "Kill them with kindness or baffle them with bs" with a smile knowing the customer is always right. (because the customer pays your bills, remember that if you don't have customers you can't...
Read moreIf I could rate this McDonald’s zero stars, I would! Negative stars would be a great option also! My husband and I mistakenly got off the exit because it erroneously leads people to believe that this McDonald’s is right off the highway-untrue! After following the busy “college town” road to just “happen” to see the Golden Arches, we found our way from I-196 to this particular McDonald’s🙄regular two-lane drive-thru, my husband places our order to be line jumped by someone in lane 2...we get up to the window to pay and they repeat our order(all good at this point, they are busy, and as a former fast-food manager-I get it!) because of the “line-jumper” our order is screwed up by the time we get to the next window...at this time, we’re asked to pull forward, which I still have no problem with, by the way! My order was a 1/4 pound/cheese, a double cheeseburger, McDouble, 2 medium fries-no specials! Simple! I watched them serve 7 customers with around the same size bags, I also witnessed the gal behind me in the drive-thru come back to return her wrong order! When I finally did receive my order I was greeted by your robotic mc manager telling me to have a good day! Great way to train the kids there! No “I’m sorry for your wait, I apologize, no nothing!” Sorry, but you guys obviously don’t k ow what’s going on, and honestly, Burger King is doing a much better job on the “service side” they will get my business from...
Read moreAfter a short wait, and upon getting to the ONE cashier that was working the inside counter at 12:30 pm or the "lunch rush" as we who used to work at McDonalds called it, I was successful in ordering a large soft drink. The teller wasn't able to give me back the correct change as she was out of coins in her register. So, I go and get my beverage after asking her for the cup since the only thing she wanted to hand me was a number so I could wait for my order? A soft drink was the ONLY thing I ordered. Then, upon waiting just shy of ten minutes and her waiting on half a dozen other customer who didn't get their change either, I decided to walk to my vehicle to see if I had the correct change so I could get a dollar bill back. Nope. Walked back inside. Asked again if I could have my change. She responded with, "I'm sorry for the wait." Then a couple minutes later I asked for a manager since I'd been waiting twelve minutes for my change. That took a couple more minutes and I finally got my change. Seriously? Seriously? You manage a McDonalds at 12:30 pm and DON'T have any coin in the ONE register that's open. Moronic. Done going here. I'd rather drive twelve miles to the next one as this is the ABSOLUTE WORST McDonalds on the planet. If all the stores service like this McDonalds will be out of business...
