I normally don’t post bad experiences, but the manager here was on such a power trip it was astounding.
We were passing through on our way to El Paso, and stopped by with two of our tea passes. The person who took our order wasn’t sure what to do as we asked for the tea to be put in our Stanley cups as opposed to their cups. She called the manager over who refused to fill our cups and made a big deal about how our normal location shouldn’t be doing that for us. Ok, fine lady. We then asked for a separate cup with the ice to which she replied she’d have to charge us for that too. At this point I tell her not to worry about it because it’s just tea. It’s not that deep. To which she replies actually it is and proceeds to lecture me on how if I’ve ever worked in the restraint business I would know how it messes up inventory.
INVENTORY ON THE TEA THEY REFILL FOR FREE by the way. If anything I was saving her inventory by asking to fill our own cups in the first place.
But once again, fine lady. It’s just tea!
We asked for one of our tea passes to be filled with unsweetened tea with a small splash of lemonade. Not half. A splash. To which she replies that makes it an Arnold Palmer, and that’s not included in the tea pass and then says she has to call her regional manager to ask about that. She takes a call in the middle of helping us and never returned. A different woman came back and we told her the manager never scanned our second tea pass, she took a phone call and left us there.
Once again, IT’S JUST TEA. lol it was never that deep! I honestly feel someone gave this lady a title and she had some kind of power trip. It was probably one of the most bizarre, rude for no reason experiences we’ve ever had at any of the many McAlisters locations we’ve...
Read moreThe food is great. But why this...I’ve ordered the same smoky pepper jack turkey sandwich with extra bacon ,turkey and add cheddar jack cheese with Mac n cheese for my side. The ONLY thing I take off is pickle spear. I even go extra mile bc of the past and leave in the comment section, PLEASE NO SPEAR (comments section limited)and for the last 2-3 months , of ordering at least twice a week, only ONCE has the spear been removed. HOWEVER, it’s not touching the sandwich, so I manage. BUT TONIGHT, THE SPEAR WAS LAYED DIRECTLY UNDER THE SANDWICH SO IT TOUCHED BOTH SECTIONS....SERIOUSLY??? That was the last spear (pun intended)... I know you guys read what goes on n off the sandwich, so I honestly feel like someone’s just being spiteful. Nonetheless, I love your sandwich, so could you please just not add the damn spear. It’s a personal issue , why I hate pickles, But I pay so I expect what I pay for. Literally, that’s my ONLY complaint. Unfortunately, after 20 orders, at least, I’ve only once had the pickle removed so bc that, I left one star...please don’t spit in my next sandwich for me complaining, I just really hate pickles. The taste, the smell...but that’s my God given...
Read moreThe establishment itself looked fairly new. When we were inside there was only one family, of four, infront of us. Once we reached the order counter it Was covered it what seemed to be dried syrup from a spilled drink or two. After we ordered there were several vacant tables, but they all had leftover dishes on yhem. I had to bus and clean the table we sat at. The food arrived in a timely manner and the waiter was nice enough. Before dining I went to the restroom to wash my hands. There was no soap or paper towels and the restroom itself was nasty. This filth in this place is not the result of a restaurant experiencing rush and not having time to recover from it. No. The filth is from weeks of neglect. Also while we ate a woman from the back (chef's/cook's area) yelled something to someone at the counter, "I told you we don't have any and we won't for at least an hour!" We travel a lot and this is by far one of our top ten worst experiences on the road....
