On July 13th, 2019 at 6 PM, I decided to go to Red Lobster with my family and friends to ENJOY a nice sit down dinner at a NICE restaurant.
This is where the problem starts....
There were 3 maybe 4 hostesses at the front. I asked for a table for 4. I requested Brandon, asking if he was working. They said a very SHORT No and went back to their "Drama"... consisting of he/said she/said BS. I had to step away so I could avoid the conversation. The hostesses were all high school age and all I wanted was a night if no drama and enjoyable time spent with family/friends.
Unfortunately, not the case....
I was shown to my table as my family were still on way to restaurant. I was upset that the table was dirty and asked the hostess if i could have a towel to clean the area. She came back and wiped the table. Problem solved.
Next....Intro...waitress....Eleeyse (or something to that effect). NOT IMPRESSED!!! As I had ordered a drink while waiting for my family/friends.
WELL.....
My mom was about 15 minutes away from restaurant AND I was STILL waiting for my Tropical Treasure drink.
My mom came and joined table and ordered the same drink as I did while we were waiting for the friends to show up.
My mom and my drink finally came after about a half hour. Then our friends showed up and they ordered drinks as well... Classic Margarita and a BOTTLE of Miller Lite. They had to wait as long as we did for their drinks. Our waitress, had spilt the Margarita 2x, sticking her finger in my friends drink, saying she would get her another drink, but never did. And we politely asked her to clean it.
I had asked for lemons for my water from the beginning and never received them until my friend got her dinner. Our waitress' section was not busy at all. We had to wait for an order of asparagus and butter they did not put on a baked potato. We were afraid to order more drinks due to the wait on our drinks previously!
It has been over a year since we have been to Red Lobster, since before my father passed away as it WAS one of his favorite places to eat.
I AM A VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER AS WERE MY FAMILY/FRIENDS.
$155.08 bill for LESS THAN SATISFACTORY SERVICE. WAITRESS SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN TIPPED THE $5.00
WILL NOT BE DINING ANYTIME SOON AT RED LOBSTER. WHICH IS VERY UNFORTUNATE AS IT WAS MU DAD'S FAVORITE...
Read moreI’m sorry that there is not a zero as that would be our rating. We visited on 2/11/23. As we don’t live near a Red Lobster this was our unanimous choice amongst the six of us after a weekend of high school wrestling. The restaurant wasn’t very busy as there were many empty tables. It was a half hour wait to be seated which was fine if they had been busy. We ordered drinks….surprised they didn’t know what a BV ditch was and after all the drinks were served the waitress said they don’t have whiskey. Rum and coke it is. When the meal finally showed up an hour later, they had missed one of the dinners. The server said she’d look for it. When she returned with the plate she said it wasn’t on the tray but found it on the counter. I have NEVER been so disappointed in the quality of the food. The shrimp was nothing more than the frozen shrimp you buy at the store and were overcooked. The scallops were over cooked and smaller than a dime, some were just dough. All of the items were lukewarm. The $16.99 bacon cheeseburger was ordered medium and was as well done and dry as could be. The crab linguini alfredo was very greasy and this we showed to the server. The $28.29 salmon filet that was about 3” long was very dry. Lemon couldn’t bring it back. I saved two of the worst for last: a sirloin and a Maine tail. The “sirloin” was the size of a small dry hamburger patty and when cut, looked like a patty. The server said it was a sirloin…it was 1/2” thick and oddly round— our grandson had the same but his sirloin was about an inch thick and looked like a steak. The lobster was about 4” long and rubbery, room temperature and the butter was cold and gelling on top. Three of us never even received the baked potatoes that came with the dinner!! We didn’t even see the server again to mention it. They weren’t able to get Worcestershire sauce, the second rum and coke took forever to get and the third didn’t show up until we were paying the bill and asked why it was on the bill. They brought it to us while we were standing up to leave. The gal said “or are you wanting me to take it off the bill?” The total bill was $277.12!!!!!!! I wouldn’t complain about the cost for a good meal but really?? Our whole group was VERY...
Read moreRed Lobster was struggling bad tonight. My family likes seafood but I am not a fan. I was however really looking forward to the cheddar biscuits and chicken Alfredo. The biscuits did not disappoint but the Alfredo was so cold I think it came out of the freezer. The cheese was not even melted. So many other things were wrong that I chose to just bring it home to warm up and eat. (Still not good and most went in the garbage) Our waitress was new and was struggling. I feel like she was left on her own to soon. There were several flies keeping us company at our table. I made sure to keep my Alfredo covered with my napkin until I could get a to go box. My husband's crab legs didn't come with utensils so he struggled with his fork until we could get someone's attention. He didn't get his salad until after his meal. His meal was so disappointing he looked forward to eating the salad after fighting with his rubbery crab legs. The 3 year old got Mac n cheese and his was so hot he burned his mouth and cried. After he calmed down and it cooled off he ate that like a champ. My daughter's steak Oscar was so rare and grisly it was inedible. Her baked potato was okay. They forgot her asparagus so she got that towards the end of our meal and that was okay. We did let the waitress know but we were complaining so much that she seemed frazzled and upset. There seemed to be plenty of wait staff, especially for how slow it was. I feel like they should have at least checked on her. I went to ask for a refill on my drink but she was walking away upset so I gave up on asking her for anything else. The food, service and atmosphere were tragic. We would have probably enjoyed McDonald's more and our bill for 3 adults and a 3 year old was $178.00. There were 3 margaritas on the bill but still spendy in my opinion, especially since she didn't charge for the asparagus and more than half the food was left uneaten. We've always enjoyed red lobster but honestly will probably not be back anytime...
