Quality Seafood & Poultry — Restaurant in Biloxi

Absolutely terrible seafood market! I've seen quite a few fish and seafood markets (from Joe Patti's in Pensacola to Big Fisherman's in New Orleans and this one is dead last at the bottom. I bought what was "called" redfish and after finishing the incorrectly filleted fish, noticed it had an unusual texture. After cooking it, the best conclusion I could make was that it was swai or pongo (imitation grouper and redfish from Malaysia or Africa). I decided to give them another try and just purchased what was told to me as "fresh from today Ahi Tuna". One of the worst fillets of fish I have ever seen, removed multiple bones, and after getting it out of the bag could tell it was at least 1-2 days old. Was going to use it for ceviche but didn't even want to risk getting sick so froze them up for steaks for next time. The service is terrible with them looking at you like you are bothering them and seem to have no interest in their jobs whatsoever.

I will however, highly recommend the staff and seafood quality over at Desporte And Sons right down the street. Way better quality, honesty and service. They seem to actually enjoy helping their customers and providing true fresh seafood. I wish we had a Joe Patti's out...

Went by today January 18th to buy a box of oysters for $66 plus tax and took them home which was about 10 minutes away but when we started opening them they were about 50% bad out of the two dozen we opened. We called and told them about it and they told us to bring them back and they would work something out with us. We took them back and they proceeded to tell us that they wouldn't give us a refund and all we could do it buy another box and they would take six dollars off of it!!! And then he wanted us to take the box that we brought back because he said he couldn't do anything with them. I ask him if you can't do anything with them why would I want them, I can't do anything with them either!!! Very very poor way to do business especially with local people that live here and know what fresh oysters are supposed to be. Their boiled crawfish are absolutely disgusting and cold . The crawfish make you feel like you have to throw up after eating them. The guy at the counter is extremely rude and acts like you're not even standing there for service . The two sausages we ordered to go along with the disgusting crawfish had to be boiling in a pot for at least two or three days because they were filled with grease , a greenish color , and would make you gag if you even tried to make yourself eat them . They have very poor quality boiled crawfish and should leave it to the people who actually know how to do it..
