We had breakfast/brunch on Sunday, October 13, 2024. I joined the electronic waiting list that morning at 10:40 AM for two people. It said that the wait would be 20 - 30 minutes. This was fine as we would take 15 - 20 minutes to arrive. Once there at 11:05 AM, I let the girl at the Hostess stand know we had arrived, and asked to verify that I would indeed by notified via my cell when our table was ready. She finally looked up an said yes. It was quite crowded outside as well, and we found 1 chair for my Sister to sit on in the waiting area. The wait list said we were party number 13 in line. About twenty minutes later, received another text stating that they were busier than usual, and it would be an additional 20-30 minutes. That was ok, as I have eaten here before, and the food is very good. During this time, I counted at least 15 separate parties enter the establishment, and still nothing. Another couple was actually still waiting longer than us. Finally, we got the attention of a waiter and asked for an update. He took our name and went inside. Meanwhile, we have been there almost an hour now. The waiter returned a few minutes and stated that our table was already called. Not on my cell phone it wasn't, and I offered to show him that it still showed us in line. At any rate, we were brought inside, seated at a booth, and given menu's, which was welcome relief. Approximately one minute after being seated, the waitress who sat us, told us we needed to be moved to a duece at the front of the restaurant with no explanation why. We grabbed our menus and moved to the new table she brought us to. We noticed our booth was given to the couple who had also been waiting outside as long as us. About a few more minutes a man, the manager I think, told us we should NOT have been to moved to another table once seated initially. He appologized and offered to move us to the very last booth by the kitchen door. We got up again and moved. By now, all we wanted was to order, eat, and get going since being there for well over an hour already. The food was good, but completly overshadowed by the wait time and musical chairs episode. I hate to be cynical, but I am pretty sure our place in line was given to a friend or friends of whoever was incharge of customer flow that morning at Hostess counter. No discount was offered, nor apology expressed by our waitress when we got our bill. While food here is good, I would have been happy with Denny's, IHOP, or even Waffle House, given the inflated wait time and total chaotic seating procedure. In my 60 years, I cannot remember ever being moved around like that. I will explore other options for future dining out. Great place that has been overshadowed by mismanagement on...
Read moreOverall, it still has newly opened issues that need resolved. I will say the manager made it right at the end. He demonstrated that they do care about the customer. I will give this establishment another try and recommend you do as well. The establishment has been opened for 3 weeks and the staff training needs help. Positive: Our waitress was friendly and tried to provide us with great service. Positive: When we were seated our table legs were missing the bottom peg, so she moved us to another table Observation: Cappuccinos had a great taste, but were small. They were served in a diner style coffee cup. Taste was good and this is only an observation for expectation management. Issue: We ordered scrambled eggs with tomato and onion. The eggs appearance was top notch, but the tomatoes and onions were added to eggs after cooked and the veggies were raw. A typical expectation is interior meats/veggies are sauteed prior to adding in eggs... Issue: A breakfast burrito was ordered without cheese. First time it came out with queso on it and we had it returned and reiterated no cheese. 2nd attempt it had no queso on it, but still had cheese inside. Initial order waitress did not here us order it without cheese, and second time a different gentleman thought we just wanted the queso off due to that is what we noticed as soon as it was set down (we said no cheese). When the gentleman took the second attemp back because it had cheese on the inside, he took the silverware with the plate. When the 3rd burrito was delivered he failed to bring silverware with it. I found a gentleman sitting at the bar and it turned out he was the shift supervisor/manager. He brought the silverware to the table personally and said we will not be charged for the burrito. Positive: When the waitress brought us the check, it had removed the burrito. The manager came by a few seconds later and he took the check and said the entire meal was free. He sincerely apologized for our initial experience and said he would like for us to give them another try. He really was sincere and we will give them another try because the staff was courteous, wanted to provide us top notch service and the manager showed it was from the bottom to the top that they care. I wanted to provide the good, bad, and ugly. The impact of how great they cared could not have been captured without it. I strongly feel that it is not about seeing a single incident, but measuring what they do with that situation. I strongly recommend...
Read moreNot a good experience... Firstly, the Hostess took a long time to seat us... she never made eye contact, seemed not to know what she was doing, she asked us several times if there was just two of us. She was singing out loud and kind of moving frantically... she acted very strange. Even though there were tables open in the front... she sat us all the way in the back directly at the end of the bar and next to the kitchen door. There dirty glasses piled high at the end of the bar, clearly the bartender was overloaded, but that's where they sat us and the bartender was our server. I found that to be counter productive bc there are always so many employees walking about, standing around, looking lost, looking for something to do or just talking each other. It took a minute for the bartender to come take out drink orders which annoyed my father. I could tell that she was pretty busy... when she did finally get our drink order, my Father got his coffee... and I waited for about 10 minutes for my sweet tea, which was too strong and not enough sugar or ice, horrible and we were never offered water. Ordering the food went off without a hitch however, it took a long time to get our food, and the forgot my Father's bacon, and my eggs were not over medium the were over easy. We flagged down a server, (bcz of course our bartender was busy at the bar) we asked told him we were missing bacon and my eggs were not right, he disappeared and quickly brought back some barely cooked bacon, which my Father did not eat, and a plate for me to scoop my eggs into. Then disappeared... and no eggs... for the next 10 minutes. By chance the manager walks by and asks how is everything, I tell him about the eggs... and then he decided to explain to me the difference between over medium and over hard. I AM 56 YEARS OLD.... I HAVE BEEEN EATING OVEER MEDIUM EGGS ALL MY DAMN LIFE.... I KNOW WHAT AN OVER MEDIUM EGG IS AND HOW IT SHOULD BE COOKED FYI. At this point I just wanted out of there. They brought my eggs back over hard... with a side of egg shells. I will not spend another dime in the place. My Father frequents this place a lot, even he said he will have to find...
