Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Birch Run Township

Don’t bother going for a slush 90% of the time the machine is broke. Any ice cream after 9?? Nope the machine seems to always be down at that time ... funny it works the next day though ... seems like closer it gets to close the more of their stuff isn’t available

In response to the “owner” I used to be a daily customer. Now I come once a month maybe. This place used to have great service but the last two months it’s gone down hill. I never know if it’s worth my trip to to stop. Just now I went and stood outside to order for over 15 minutes while two employees and a manager (guy in blue shirt) stood outside talking. They went back in and I am still standing outside with no service. I had to get in my car to go through the drive through in order to get service. I come through town between 9:30 and 10 every night. Sometimes it’s open at 9:45 most of the time it’s closed even though it’s hours are until 10. If you come at 9:50 more than likely it’s closed and don’t ask for a slush or ice cream. It’s like they have already cleaned the stuff for the night and they don’t want to be bothered with it again. Like I said I was there daily .... btw I’m still waiting for service. It makes 30 min now...

Went here on a Saturday night after an event at the speedway. Town was busy, Sonic was busy. Not horrible when we pulled in. We got there about 11:30pm. Pulled into the LIT UP digital order kiosk. Press the order button. 10 minutes go by and nothing. Start asking people around us if their orders had been taken. They all started saying no. So myself and at least 2 others left those spots and go into the drive thru long. BEFORE 12am when they close. We wait 10-15 minutes in the drive thru to have an employee come out and yell from the door that they close at 12 and we probably wouldn't be severed. I asked why being we were in line PRIOR to closing and that had we not sat in the other option for 10 minutes without being waited we'd have been thru. She shrugged her shoulders and didn't care. Simply said she was short staffed. While that sucks and makes for a long shift that's not on me. Brianna was her name and she claimed to be a manager. She handled things horrible. We left and went down to Rallys in Clio who was also supposed to close at 12 but because there were people in the drive thru they finished it out until everyone was served. The way...

We pulled up to the drive-in speaker and they told us they have no carhops and to use the driver thru. There were a few staff who got out of a car after we sat in the drive thru a few minutes, so I don't know if they were supposed to be the waitstaff or if they just don't deliver to vehicles after dark. The parking lot lights were all very dim, and we didn't know if they were even open, so I wouldn't blame staff for not wanting to go out after dark. Food was just okay. They forgot one sandwich we ordered, which wasn't a big deal, just got out and went up to the door. When I explained we were missing a sandwich, they got it and said, here ya go... no sorry about that or have a good night. We ate dinner and decided to go back through for dessert. The staff at the window was just plain short and rude. Anytime I said thank you, like when she handed my card back or handed me the ice cream, there was either no response or just a yep. Not impressed with the food or the service, especially when we drove about 30 miles just...
