Panera Bread — Restaurant in Birmingham

First of all, I worked at a Panera bread for nearly 8 years, so I know how things should be.

I'm a patient at the hospital right now, having a really bad time being cooped up in my room, nearly confined to my bed.

I had my gf order me an iced caramel latte on the app, along with some food, but it was the coffee that I really wanted.

Just so everyone knows, and iced caramel latte from Panera gets a tan scoop of ice, 2 shots of espresso, 3 pumps of caramel, and 2% milk to the fill line of the cup.

When my food arrived, the first thing I went for was my coffee, which didn't include a straw. That's issue number 1. Always put a straw in the bag if your customer got an iced latte, as it's made behind the counter. The 2nd issue is that the drink wasn't stirred. So no straw, and no way to stir my drink that I've been craving for 5 days cooped up in this hospital room. In the 8 years and literally thousands of iced lattes I've made at Panera when I worked there, I NOT ONCE, NEVER, EVER forgot to stir someone's drink. I mean, it's part of the process. I had to stir my iced caramel latte with a freaking sharpie. Thank you.

Decided to eat here while waiting on my husband to get out of surgery for one sandwich and a drink I paid $14. Cashier didn't even say hello I actually had to say hello to her twice and then she just said "can I help you?" so for a third time I said how are you and she said "oh sorry I'm good can I help you". I asked for mac and cheese and a sandwich and she said they were out of mac and cheese. I asked for a sweet tea and she said that they only do unsweet tea. I asked for a cookie they didn't have any cookies whatsoever so it was very much disappointing as a visit I went over to the baker while he was handing me my food I told him that I wanted a baguette not chips he handed me a cold very inedible baguette. The only reason I had to ask the baker for a baguette is because the cashier lied to me and said that sandwiches only come with chips. This Panera is not very different from others. They typically do a very good job with mobile orders. The one time that my order got taken and they had to remake it, the lady at the window offered me a dessert to make up for it. The coffee is pretty good and I highly recommend the blueberry lemonade! The value duo of a tuna melt and tomato soup was delicious when I got it. I also love the asiago and cinnamon crunch bagels. This morning I ordered the asiago sausage, egg, and cheese bagel. It was alright on its own, but it was MUCH better once I put a little hot sauce on it! I did recently sign up for the unlimited sips club, and what a deal?!
