My Not-So-Great Pizza Hut Experience You know, I was really looking forward to a nice lunch today, but my visit to Pizza Hut pretty much squashed that. Instead of enjoying an actual meal, I ended up gnawing on a protein bar just to keep from starving, all thanks to how things went down.

Right off the bat, the place looked pretty grimy. The front door was visibly dirty, like it hadn't seen a good cleaning in ages. Then I walked in, and it was crickets – nobody even bothered to look up or say hello. Just past the counter, there was this soda machine, clearly marked "out of order," and it had that look like it'd been broken for a long time.

Finally, someone asked if they could help me. I told them I had a mobile order, and they just said there were a few orders ahead of mine. My pickup time came and went, and then I noticed this board behind the counter flashing red. I'm guessing it's their system for tracking order times or something, supposed to give you an idea of when your food will be ready. Well, it was definitely telling them that orders were way overdue. Instead of actually getting the food ready, it seemed like they were just clearing the orders off the screen and marking them as "done." I can tell you for sure, my order wasn't ready.

So, here I sat, 17 minutes after I got there, completely empty-handed when my order was supposed to be ready for pickup. My lunch break is only 30 minutes, and they pretty much wasted the entire thing. I just gave up and left. Thankfully, I chose to pay at the store when I ordered.

Seriously, if you value your time and need your food on schedule, you might want to skip this...

Just beware. Hit or miss at this location depending on their mood!! Terrible customer service. I cannot emphasize this enough. Put the blame on the customer over a 10 dollar pizza. Also scary, unstable delivery Driver. Driver kept ringing the door bell then told me I owed money even though I paid online and then drove off and came back again......kind of uncomfortable the behavior and while we were talking to the manager she said she was in a hurry and drove off with the pizzas ...... I was frustrated with the behavior bc I just had a baby and a) gotten the baby to sleep and she keeps coming back ringing the bell b) I can't leave the house so I was depending on the delivery. Also their district manager, area manager, Robert Z. is extremely unprofessional he was the cause of the mess too and has poor training or maybe zero training. Does not know how to differentiate online vs in store orders or apply discounts. He said it was my problem........when I told him about the driver being unprofessional and leaving with the pizza he yelled and said then cancel your order. I am embarrassed for the company!! if he is a higher up and this is the customer service he represents for the company I will just go to a competitor. So basically he bullied me and said the order will be canceled instead of apologizing and saying I will speak to the driver and we will send a fresh pizza out. I wasn't even asking for a refund or a credit. Never experienced that before and will not order here again. Make sure to be very clear to the people that work there because they don't know how to do their job and need you...

You could not lie and steal from me! That would be tremendous! I called your store in the Birmingham area this morning and was told to place an order online. So I did. The store called me five mins later to tell me they didn’t have delivery drivers or half the products I ordered. I told them I would work with them and to change the order to takeout. I asked what was going to be done to adjust payment because I needed delivery fees, tip and up charges for stuffed crust removed. They said they couldn’t do that because I opted for it!!! Unreal I called first and was never told they don’t have drivers. I am so unhappy. I am a grocery store manager and wanted to reward my employees for the challenging week they’ve had. When they told me that I said ok I guess just cancel the whole transaction. The woman was very unprofessional and kept calling me baby. When I told her to cancel she hung up on me. My bank account has not been credited and I’ve never been more unhappy from a customer service stand point. Btw I went with papa John’s and the pizzas were so available and easy to order they got there in 18 mins. Please tell me where my money is and what is going to be done about this...

Most recently, I ordered delivery for a medium pan pizza (costs extra), a medium thin, cheese sticks, and cinnamon rolls. The pan pizza was made on classic hand-tossed, as was the thin crust. The rest of the order was fine. Historically, I haven't even been able to get delivery from this store, due to staffing issues. I was excited that the option was available last night, although it seems to be due to a partnership with DoorDash. But it came quickly and the fee was the same for me, so I can't complain. In the past, I've had to drive out to pick up my pizza. And when I do, it has been consistent enough to rely upon that the food will be ready between 30-60min later than the time specified when ordering. I don't really mind having to drive out, but even at slow times, it seemed they weren't even beginning to make the order until I showed up to pick it up. The one thing I learned from this was not to order a 2-liter soda from them for pick up. With all the time it takes waiting, you can just go to the Winn-Dixie across the street and get the soda at shelf-price, which is at worst about half of Pizza Hut's menu price.

Took an hour to deliver a pizza, (which had obviously been dropped, as one half was sitting on top of the other) that was supposed to take 25-35 minutes. When we opened the door, the delivery guy was smoking a cigarette...at a posted 100% non-smoking hotel. After being on hold with the restaurant for 11 minutes without speaking to anyone, I called customer service and was promised a replacement pizza in 25 minutes, but told to save the mutilated pizza. It has been over an hour now. Over 2 since the original order. No replacement, messed up pizza is cold, we're hungry, out $19, and everything is now closed. The pizza hut that serves Irondale (Montevallo store in Birmingham)sucks!!
