I am very disappointed in this place, my family and I order from Primos at least once a week. I placed an order over the phone asked for VERY VERY VERY LIGHT cheese. I also ordered a small order of âGARLIC BREADâ. When I reached my destination I went inside primos and ordered the exact same pizza again because a large wasnât enough thinking that it would also be VERY VERY, VERY LIGHT CHEESE. Apparently they have garlic bread sticks and garlic cheese bread. I specifically said a small order of GARLIC BREAD only!! If I was the person behind the phone taking the order I would say âWell we have garlic cheese bread or garlic bread sticksâ I told them that if someone is saying GARLIC BREAD AND LEAVING OUT THE CHEESE donât you think that Iâm implying I want the garlic bread sticks? Unfortunately, when I got back home, we noticed that both pizzas had an overload of cheese on them and the bread was cheese not garlic. I donât think that I should have to check my order but unfortunately i donât even think it would have made any difference since it had been already made. Upon arrival to return the pizza a gentleman at the front counter who also made the pizza said to me âIt says light sauce not light cheese, and What am I going to do with $54 worth of pizza?â In which I replied, âWhat am I going to do with it? No one will eat this! That was the most rudest comment I had ever heard. They did not apologize or even think to accommodate me to make another order instead he opened up the cash register and refunded me my money which I never once asked for. Very unfortunate for the years me and my family have been going there that this was the result of not accommodating a loyal customer. And the fact that this pizza place is in a prime location in Birmingham. We will not be returning to this...
Read morePrimoâs is my pizza sanctuary. My go-to for the past five yearsâlike clockwork, once a week, round pizza, two toppings: pepperoni and their spicy sausage. The sausage has just enough kick to remind you that yes, flavor still exists in this world. I get it well done, because I like my crust like I like my sarcasm: crispy and dependable.
The staff? Legendary. At this point, they know me so well I think Iâm just one order away from being invited to their family reunion. Last Friday (6/13/25), I called in and they didnât even ask for my name or number. They just said, âGot it.â I felt like Iâd been knighted by the Pizza Council.
The toppings? Magical. The pepperoni curls into those crispy little flavor chalices. The ham is salty but not overbearingâlike a lovable old man yelling at clouds. And the spicy sausage doesnât just sit thereâit participates. It contributes. Itâs the MVP of the slice.
Now the crustâdear reader, the crust. That glorious middle ground between crunchy and chewy. You get it well done and thereâs zero flop to the undercarriage. It stands strong like itâs carrying the hopes and dreams of every pizza lover who came before.
And listenâthey sell ice cream AND booze. Thatâs not a pizza place. Thatâs a full-service emotional support center.
The staff is always polite, even when theyâre slammed and juggling twelve orders at once. Never once have they made me feel like my consistent, slightly obsessive loyalty was anything less than appreciated.
As long as Primoâs exists and I live within pizza-scent range, theyâve got...
Read moreI do not know what happened to the kindness of the people who work for Primo's in Birmingham, but it is not the friendly one I am use to. I arrived to get a few slices of pizza the other day and witnessed one of the employees aggressively coming out and yelling at a young man to clean up his dog's business in front of Primo's parking lot. The problem is that the dog was still doing his business and the aggressive employee startled the dog while he/she was going. It was a very uncomfortable position for the young man as he couldn't pick up the mess until his dog was done, yet being yelled at by this employee.
While this was happening I received my slices of pizza and paid for them. Everytime I go buy pizza slices from Primo's they place the slices in a bag for me as a professional food business does, but on this occasion the counter employee put the flat bag on the counter and placed the slices above the bag expecting me to put them in the bag. The employee didn't even greet me the entire time I was there, which is unusual for them.
This entire experience on this particular day has really changed my opinion of Primo's Pizza in...
