We just had dinner at the Harvent tonight, July 7, 2024. We had a very enjoyable experience! This was 2 couples. My husband had the braised short ribs. I had the salmon- well done. We gave each other a few samples and both meals were great! Our friends had salmon and a ribeye. They said both were great too. We had a good waitress (Emily) that was attentive and well informed. She made the meal relaxing and pleasant. I was a bit nervous after reading a few reviews online but we had zero complaints. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I mentioned the reviews to the waitress after our meal was done and we had complimented them. She said they had made changes to the chef and menu and were working hard to regain better ratings. We even had her send out the chef so we could complement him. So often people only post complaints. But they earned a 5 star rating from us tonight. If we lived in the area we would be back. We were here for a convention and live several states away. I recommend to give them a chance to wow...

I was very disappointed with the over all dining experience. The waitress was friendly and I did not mind the wait because I understand it is supposed to be farm to table.

Here are my concerns: I paid $20 for 5 pieces of shrimp that were cold in the middle almost like they were frozen (which is not fresh) ontop of that half of the lettuce was wilted. When the waiter came to us to ask how everything was, I started to explain to her that I was disappointed and she nervously laughed and walked away. Onto the entrees; I got the filet mignon which was cooked correctly but there was no flavor, the pepper gravy was so overpowering it took away from the filet. The garlic mashed potatoes were the highlight of the dish and unfortunately I had a few garlic cloves that were so hard you could not cut them with a knife. My husband got the frenched chicken and he said it was cooked well and seasoned nicely. However the grits were bland.

It was a big let down I hope this restaurant can make some improvements with the next seasonal...

The front desk worker I spoke with was very passive aggressive. Her tone was very rude like she didn’t want us to be there. They are unorganized with reservations. I called multiple days to confirm my reservation . When we arrived they ask us who we spoke to over the phone as if we were supposed to have a name of the worker instead of them having our names. I was also told I would have to now pay $200 for the reservation because I was there with “no reservation” . As I was about to set up payment the front desk worker I spoke with was still giving us attitude despite me trying to be nice after their staff made a mistake. The man who I’m assuming was the restaurant owner/manger was very nice. I don’t know if it’s because we were a younger African American group of people but I doubt they give anybody else that treatment after staff made a mistake .They looked at us as if we’re lying about the reservation and just showed up...

We stayed at The Redmont, so we had breakfast here on Sunday morning around 8. We had to wait 40 minutes for the biscuits to cook, which is understandable since they had to cook but she said it would only take 20. The biscuits and gravy were delicious and absolutely worth the wait if you have the time lol. They reminded me of cheddar bay biscuits and the gravy was soo good. The whole menu sounds good and the cafe on the other side of the lobby has great coffee and tea (I had a chai tea). There is not very much seating but the ambience is top notch, very classy. Call ahead and see if they have biscuits before going in 😉

What a wild ride. Not a soul was there on a Saturday afternoon at 5:30. Just our group. Waitress was very… “hyper.” (If you know what I mean.) Chef came out and admitted he basically didn’t like anything on the menu except the steak. I liked the honesty but gave me weird vibes that it must not be a great place to eat if everything was so terrible. Food was okay, but we only went here because everything else in the area closes at 4pm. Also, it was HOT - needed to put the AC on blast because of the huge windows. Way too expensive for such a weird experience: did not feel like a fancy dinner.
