I have a high tolerance for waiting and all together give a lot of leeway to people in the service industry but honestly, in the span of about a year and a half this Taco Bell has gone from one of the best to one of the absolute worst places for fast food in Bismarck.
The service is unbearably slow, even during off times when there is almost nobody around. It’s not uncommon to wait 20-25 minutes even if nobody else is in the restaurant. And during peak times, just don’t even bother, I’ve sat for over 45 minutes before.
The food preps are constantly screwing up orders and when you do get the right items you’d be forgiven for thinking that they actually made your order right away but just wanted it to sit in the back for awhile and get old before giving to you because that’s how it tastes and how lukewarm everything is.
I felt sorry for the kid taking orders who kept running around and asking if everyone got the right food because the food preps were were screwing off and people came in from the drive through after getting completely wrong orders. But it’s like this almost every time I come in here!!
Oh and the bathrooms, the men’s specifically, are a disaster area. It’s not just a day to day thing, it’s in a constant state of neglect that just makes the entire thing feel gross. That bodes well for how sanitary the kitchen is.
I’ve been coming to this specific Taco Bell for over 10 years and this place at one time had fast service and great employees and I’m telling you as a loyal customer... go somewhere else. This place reeks of bad ownership in a way that few places do. I’m sure it can’t possibly be this bad all the time, but from frequent evening visits to this Taco Bell I’m saying... just don’t risk it. Learn from my stupid...
Read moreI've been to a lot of Taco Bells restaurants in my day, but none as bad as this one. Came in here yesterday on my way through Bismarck. It was about 2:30PM. Ordered my food, waited literally 15 minutes for it to come out. There were two other small groups in the restaurant (one of which ordered before I even came in the restaurant and still didn't have their food by the time I got mine!). After waiting over 10 minutes for my food I went up to the counter to ask where it was. A black gentleman with dreadlocks came out and asked me for my name, when I gave it to him he checked the computer and said it'll be up soon. I told him I have already been waiting forever and asked how much longer. He shrugged his shoulders and said that there were a bunch of Door Dash orders that came in and those take priority. Absolutely terrible service. No one seemed to care that multiple people were waiting over 15 minutes for their food. The people working there are typical overweight 20 somethings that have no drive or ambition. The dining room was a complete mess with food everywhere, wrappers, cups of nacho cheese and just garbage everywhere. The fountain drink station had dried soda on literally every surface you'd want to put your cup down to put the lid on. On top of all this, they had loud rap music blaring as they are making your food with constant swearing and use of the word ni**a. Read moreBy far the worst experience I've had at a Taco Bell ever! Which is not an easy task given the amount of terrible experiences there are to be had with this particular chain! After waiting 37 minutes (once I started counting) in the drive thru line I reached the 2nd window. The first was occupied by only a vacuum. After paying the gal working the window went to hand me my receipt and it was at this time that she recognized a fellow TB employee walking down State St. (roughly 50 feet away if I had to guess) whom she then carried on a screaming conversation with.. while she held her finger up at me to indicate that she'd like me to wait until they had finished. Once they had, she turned to me and let me know that they'd have my food out shortly and closed the window. A few minutes later she returned, handed me a bag and wished me a good night. As I began to drive away, I discovered that my entire order was incorrect so I parked and headed inside. The lobby was closed and locked.. so I called. After explaining my issue, the male employee instructed me to wait at the front door.. which I did.. for 15 minutes before I called again.
