My first visit to Goodcents today. What is Goodcents you may ask yourself, because I had no idea it existed either. It is the Sandwich shop that you should replace your current sandwich shop with. I ordered my sub online because I am an introvert and I roll that way - as little human interaction as possible lol. The ordering process was easy, the items were well displayed, all the positive parts of an online ordering process. The moment I opened the door to walk inside to pickup my order, I was greeted with a friendly greeting and smiles. There were 3 workers behind the line, all ACTUALLY WORKING on stuff. No slackers on their phones, just prep work and sandwich artistry. Beautiful. The place SMELLED amazing. The helped me out rapidly, and I was in and out in the estimated timeframe that their ordering service told me. The building was clean, the food was awesome, the helping was generous (I say as I sit here patting my full belly) and the toppings and meat were fresh, which is exactly what I needed!
The ONLY thing that I will say I wish that all sub shops would change/fix, is my mayo was kind of clumped in one side of the sammich. I feel like there must be a reason they add dressings at the end, but if I may make a suggestion as a sammich lover - Please spread the sauces/dressings! Well-proportioned bites, containing everything on the sandwich NEARLY every bite is what would take this awesome sammich session, to Sandwich nirvana!
Must try if you have not! I will most certainly be...
Read moreOk this is a weird one. I'm not a bad review kind of person but the vibes of this place and the prices and quality the of food do not add up. We walked into 3 people sitting at tables. It's dead quiet, no music and no one is eating, no one at the counter. There are tables pressed up towards the counter so you're a couple of feet away from the display case. Finally 2 kids walk out and quietly take our orders we can't hear what they are saying. Maybe that's why there is no music? Why is the background hum of the air conditioner and fridges so loud? We got our food and were a bit surprised that 2 sandwiches, 2 drinks and 2 small bags of chips were close to $40!!! No ice in the machines, sit down to food that is lower quality then subway. As we sit there a few more kids come out of the back where the first 2 kids had been. So they work there? I don't know. But they are giggling and looking at us and going back to front to table. Now more kids are coming in to join they can't all possible work there. It was weird we ate and left. My husband was sick for a while. I'm not sure who runs the place or even enjoys eating here. But it's not the sandwich vibe I'll ever be coming back to again. It's like teen summer hang out, vape in the back, and I need stoner food on my parents credit card type of place. It was gross, uncomfortable and overpriced. Just go anywhere...
Read moreI have never heard of Goodcents Deli Fresh Subs. What is it? Well, it is like a Subway, only the bread is better and the sandwiches have meat on them; freshly sliced meats! I went with a Penny Club, on Pepper Garlic bread; advertised as a “Goodcents Fan Favorite.” I wisely kept the size down to an 8”. Made it a combo with chips and a drink. My wife went with the 6” turkey, also a combo meal. Both meals hit the spot. Filling sandwiches, stacked with meat and fresh condiments, skillfully arranged between excellent soft fresh bread. The Goodcents Deli Fresh Subs is an unfamiliar brand and the shop’s location is obscure. If you have lived in Kansas, you may be familiar with the brand. Unless you work in the labyrinth of Post Rock Plaza, across from Costco, or you frequent the business located there, you, like me, probably didn’t even know the sub shop existed. But you do now. Good Sub! This review was originally posted on Yelp by me on Oct 4 2022. I am due for...
