I visited today specifically because I wanted an Oreo waffle since I’m pregnant and my craving always hit at random times. I sat down and everything was great until I got into the waffle, I noticed it was a plane waffle with only whip cream and Oreos on top. As anybody knows, when a a pregnant woman gets upset about a craving it’s really emotional. I asked my waitress if there was a mistake or I ordered the wrong thing, she said “I know I told her but she said no it’s right” to which I replied if I could please get it remade. She was super sweet and said she would get it remade. After a while she came back and said that the lady Gilmore said she would not remake it because she can’t put the Oreos in the batter. And that if I wanted she could make me pancakes or something else. She then said “I’m trying to get a discount” like i was still going to be charged for the item that was completely wrong. The Oreos not being in the waffles because of the equipment they have, I understand completely, but I didn’t get my cream cheese topping or anything else? So I asked if I could please speak with her and when she came out she was very rude. She said she won’t be able to put the Oreos in the waffle because of the equipment but now she said she would remake it. I explained to her that I don’t think it’s fair for me to be paying for something when I asked for something completely different. She then said “ok fine have a good day” and took my ticket. I just think it was handled very rude especially because I just went for one thing. I’m very understanding and I would’ve been okay without the cookies in the waffle but the attitude is what really stuck with me. Your getting payed to do this job, nobody is forcing you to be there, if you don’t like it then leave. It’s always the bitter employees, just wanted to share my experience and I hope they do something about their miserable cook. Other than that the...
Read moreThis is a tale of two waffles. 2 days prior to my visit at this IHOP location, I dined at the IHOP on hillside drive in Broken Arrow. At the hillside location I ordered a strawberry cheesecake waffle. The waffle I received was perfection, fresh strawberries, real cream cheese and whipped topping without even a whiff of strawberry syrup, it was truly a waffle that stalked my dreams and I knew that I had to order another one and soon.
So a couple days go by and the opportunity arose to grab lunch with a family member that wanted breakfast, with this location being the closest IHOP and my utter desire to have another one of those waffles we decided to stop here. We were seated almost immediately in a requested booth. I sat down eagerly waiting for my family member to decide what they wanted because I knew what I was ordering before we even pulled into the parking lot. After some deliberation time our orders were made and shortly received afterwards. Originally the waffle came out plain, with a single dollop of butter, after informing the attendant that I ordered a strawberry cheesecake waffle he replied "easy fix", easy indeed.. what I received upon his return was a soggy, strawberry syrup and cheesecake icing atrocity, even the strawberries were clearly from a candied jar and about as fresh as 2 yr molding gym socks.
Needless to say I doubt anything would change if I requested it, so we instead have decided to not return to this location and stick with the, albeit busier, hillside...
Read moreThis IHOP has gone downhill. We used to come here once a week for years and loved it. However, in the last year it has gotten terrible. They have new management and do a terrible job. We went yesterday at 5:20pm. There was one person eating and no one else there. We were promptly seated to a very sticky booth. I had to clean it myself. They brought a highchair that was dirty and sticky. Our waitress came out with AirPods in both ears (which she never took out) and we told her we were ready to order. She said she would get our drinks but doesn’t have paper to take our order yet. She brought our drinks and said she forgot the paper to take our order. She came back with a receipt and wrote our order on the back. We ordered around 5:35 and our food didn’t come out until 6:10. We only ordered 2 omelettes and kids pancakes. Another couple who came in after we ordered had already started eating while we were still waiting for our food. Thankfully, the food was good, but it was obvious they forgot about our food. They apologized but with just us and one other couple it really shouldn’t have happened. The manager was just walking around and standing outside on her phone most of the time. Also, the women’s bathroom was filthy and the trash can was overflowing. With only 2 small tables occupied you’d think things would be clean and service would be prompt. We won’t be back...
