I want to preface this by saying I was super excited to go eat here and I really wanted it to be good because Blackfoot deserves to have good restaurants, but when we walked in first off the music was blaring loud I could barely talk to the people in my party. Secondly it was hot I almost wanted to ask if the AC was broke. And then the overall look at the place was okay but I do not understand why there's TVs on the wall playing random food videos but that's a minor gripe it really didn't affect the meal. We ordered some sushi and hibachi. The salad was probably the saddest thing I've ever seen you could tell it was prepared several hours before serving the lettuce was gummy and wilted and the plate was absolutely ice cold you could tell it just came out of it very cold fridge and the dress scene was 100% onions like overpowering. We ordered different temperatures on the steak on a couple orders and they all came out the same temperature and speaking of temperature the shrimp on my son's plate was definitely lukewarm. The flavor of the steak and the rice was good but the vegetables were super burnt it tasted like they've been cooked on a grill that did not get a decent cleaning. The sushi rolls we ordered were pretty good but they're your typical fusion drenched in Japanese mayonnaise sauce. It's also worth mentioning that I got my entree several minutes before anybody at my table got theirs and it was also at the same time that we got our appetizer. I know we ordered our appetizer a little late but why would you bring it out with one person's entree when there's three other entrees waiting to come out. We ordered dessert and it was okay. As far as the service they were friendly but for some reason the waiters would only speak to me and not to anybody else in my party as if my wife can't speak for herself. It was just super awkward to have him ask me if anyone else needed anything. The last part was once it was time to go they were absolutely rushing us and the restaurant was super empty so there was no reason. they asked us if we want boxes to go before asking if we wanted dessert we told them they wanted dessert they brought us the boxes then they brought us the dessert and before I could even eat the dessert they were asking me to give the card for the tab. Overall for $150+ it was not worth. I heard such high praise when they first opened I must assume that standards must have...
Read moreTook the family here for Mother's Day dinner. OMG, the food was freaking amazing! Everything came out perfect, except one mishap (my sister's filet mignon came out med well-well done, instead of med rare.)...BUT they apologized and got her a new one immediately. We ordered various things off the menu... Mr. Crab roll, Steak & Scallop Hibachi, Steak and Lobster Hibachi, Steak & Chicken Hibachi, Mango Crab Roll, Tempura Shrimp/Combo plate, Miso Mushroon Soup, and the Japanese Noodle Bowl. The staff was so nice and tended to our every need and made sure our drinks were filled. I was surprised it wasn't that busy for it being Mother's Day and all. It still looks a little like Pizza Hut inside (ahhh, the memories)... nothing too fancy or over the top. I knew from reviews that they did not have an actual Hibachi grill for people to sit around, but for some reason, I thought it was being remodeled on the inside, too? It appeared to be just fresh paint and new pics on the wall with still the same lights and tables/chairs. No drink bar sadly, but I completely understand since there isn't the room. BUT it was clean, the food was excellent, and the staff/co-owner was amazing, and truly, that's all that's important to me. My family was very happy and left with full bellies. The price was very reasonable, IMO....it was $214 for 6 people for all that we ordered...so, on average (with drinks and taxes), it came to about $32 per person. A little less than Fuji's in Poky. This place is a hidden lil gem for Blackfoot, and I highly recommend...
Read moreWe've ordered here a couple of times now, and everytime it's been absolutely amazing! The food has always tasted excellent, they've always been very nice and courteous in-house and on the phone, and the restaurant has always looked very clean and comfortable. My experience tonight was the same. Tavian took my order over the phone, and when a last second decision change happened on my end leaving me scrambling through the online menu pictures available, they were very patient and understanding. It took me a few minutes to pick another item that I wanted, and when the situational anxiety started to set in, I heard Tavian say "Don't stress at all man, you're fine, take your time!".. After a couple more minutes of trying to decide, Tavian said "would you like a few recommendations?" then proceeded to tell me their personal top 3 favorite special rolls, and after hearing them I very quickly went with the Rodeo Roll which sounded really good and am very glad I did!! Tavian was very helpful, knowledgeable, and patient! We should all be more like...
