I’ve already contacted corporate in regards to this. My husband and I both being managers in retail, we are appalled by how this was handled! We are avid Costa customers and truly enjoy their food. This location happens to be hit or miss, but this was just the cherry on top. I went in and ordered 2 sweet pork burritos, got home took two bites and knew immediately the pork was burnt. That’s all you could taste. This place isn’t cheap, so I called and politely suggested something may be wrong with the meat and if we could bring our burritos back for a refund. The person that answered seemed super hesitant to even ask her manger. I can now see why. I could hear her explaining our food tasted burnt and she reworded several times to her manager and even asked do you understand what I’m saying? He said oh whatever and gets on the phone. That already put a bad taste in my mouth, but I politely explained to him (I believe his name was Chris) the situation and he had the same attitude towards me. Telling me that it basically wasn’t true, the meat wasn’t burnt, but then actually what happened was it did get over cooked and the taste is slightly off but it’s not inedible. I said, well you shouldn’t be serving it if you know it’s like that. He quickly stated anyone who orders the pork was informed it was burnt and were offered to taste it. I told him I was not made aware of that. He was quick to say well that’s weird then I said, the people behind me ordered a sweet pork salad and weren’t informed either and again was quick to say, that’s weird and tried to change the subject. He offered to make us something new, but with a person running a business like that? No way. My husband walked in and ordered us lunch and I told him to bring home the receipt so I could scan in the QR code to get the points. The server (Ethan F Folkner) didn’t hand him his receipt. My husband had to ask for it and he acted all weird about it. He gave him the receipt and when he got home there was no QR Code. I called the restaurant and they looked up the order and said there is no QR code. I told her that my husband didn’t give them his phone number or QR code because he doesn’t have the app. The bottom of the receipt says “Scan the QR code above with you Costa Vida App to earn points from this order, If the QR code is absent you points were automatically applied to your account.” When i read this to the lady, I asked if the server Ethan could have put his phone number in. She didn’t answer my question and said there is no QR code and next time to come through the drive through. Read moremy boyfriend and i stopped to get dinner tonight. when we first walked up, a worker told us they would be there in a minute. after that, multiple workers walked passed, seemed to not care, and more and more continued to do so. finally, after a good couple of minutes, a guy asked for our orders. i ordered a kids chicken taco, and they must’ve misheard me for a quesadilla? i don’t understand how that got mixed up. but, once they were done with my “taco” they slapped the lid on and didn’t ask me if i wanted anything else on it. i was getting a little upset and asked if i could get lettuce and pico on my taco. the girl who finished my taco, very annoyed, rips the lid off and throws lettuce and pico all over everything. not on my taco, not on my rice, but all over my food. same thing happens with my boyfriend and his food, the girl didn’t ask for lettuce and pico, continues to put it on, and my boyfriend kindly asked for no lettuce on it, she looks at him, gives him a DIRTY look, and proceeds to put the lid back on. i LOVE costa vida. i go there quite a bit, and i’ve never really had the best service there. after tonight, i’m super disappointed and not that excited to go...
