Panda Express — Restaurant in Blacksburg

We have stopped going to the Blacksburg Panda Express and now drive the few miles on to the Christiansburg Panda Express. Not only is their food better, but they rarely run out of specific entrees and their employees are super nice. Every time we went to the Blacksburg Panda Express they rarely had our entrees, some if the employees do nit know what they are doing or are super rude or they were closing early and didn’t want to make any additional food before closing…whatever!

UPDATE: Apparently now ANY orders placed online you must walk inside the building for pickup...no more going through the drivethru. This is ridiculous and just increases the chances of spreading the COVID virus. We have continuously had problems at the Panda Express...my order on wasn’t available earlier this week and it took forever to get my money back and now no pickup of online orders thru the drivethru. My next visit will be to the Panda Express in Christiansburg or China Inn.

Usually I have a great experience at the Prices Fork Rd Panda Express, but lately they have REALLY been slacking. Because of allergies I can only get one or two of their meals, but they are usually out, it has to defrost or I have to wait 8 minutes for it to cook. These are common entrees and you would think that they would have it ready based on demand. It took me almost 15 minutes to get my money back because they charged me at the drivethru for my meal, but they were out of my entree and only had some they were waiting to defrost. The manager wanted me to keep my receipt and come back the next day to get my meal...I guess she didn’t want to give me a refund, but I wasn’t leaving until I got my money back. I understand sometimes you run out of food, but this is a high traffic restaurant in a college town...get it together, keep items flowing. I would like to take this opportunity to thoroughly apologize to the staff for my absolutely horrendous case diarrhea this morning and the complete and utter destruction of your bathroom. As I was leaving the restroom, the kid who was next in line visually started to choke up and began crying from the sins of my bowels and the punishment for the extra hot curry I had last night. I am not sure if my moans of pain or the thunderous roar of my butt was audible from the main area, but I’m guessing by the terrified stares of the other patrons they were.

I apologize to the Asian girl who had to make eye contact with me as I ordered a extra orange chicken while the family who sat by the bathroom door fled the restaurant because of the stench. As I was leaving this location, I could hear sirens approaching prices fork. I know deep down in my heart that those were not caused by me, but still I can’t help but feel like they deserved to arrest me then and there for my complete and utter disregard of the social contract

Anyways, the food here is always good except that one time they forgot my fried shrimp. The manager replaced it immediately though so no harm no fowl. I guess my only suggestion would be to leave the chop sticks in a place where customers can grab them so I don’t have to keep coming back in after I get my food...

Came in about 2-3 hours before close and half of the food was gone. We were told that they were not making any more food for the rest of the night. The food we did get, however, was not cooked or seasoned properly. We found hair in our fried rice. Their staff sat in the lobby and, rather than focusing on the customers, spoke about their personal lives. The manager behind the counter was somewhat nice but it honestly came off as belittling when we asked about portion sizes and clarification for why there wasn't food available. I worked in food service for years and I have never stopped making food for the night 3 hours before close. I don't know if the staff just wanted to get out early or if they're just lazy. That is not how I would run my business. I only went out to eat because it was finals and we were too tired to make our own food at home...huge mistake.
