So we usually order Papa John's from this location. Our experiences have always been kind of "meh" as the orders are most of the time. Orders are never ready when I arrive to pick up at the predicted pick up times posted. However yesterday was the last straw for this establishment.
We placed an order, and was told the order would be ready in about forty five to fifty five minutes. No problem. I leave the house exactly an hour after the order is placed, and decide to stop by Kroger for some miscellaneous groceries.
It is now an hour and twenty minutes over pickup time and head to the location. I figured this location always misses it's mark, and would give them a bit of a buffer time. Considered this to be a smart move on my part. Boy was I wrong.
I arrived, and the place was literary packed. The cashier asked for for my name, and said nothing else as she walked back and started tending to other customers.
I'll get to the point and make this short. I waited about thirty minutes standing around until I finally said something regarding my order. Their excuse was they were short staffed, and too many orders came in.
2)You NEED to give accurate delivery / take out times. If it's busy, do NOT suggest a forty five minute window for the food to be ready.
Also adding to the fire, all the customers standing around waiting over an hour as well. At least three of them having their orders go missing. I've never seen so many canceled orders in person before.
So I finally give up and proceed to cancel my order, which resulting in more waiting time for someone to show up at the counter.
After finally waiting another twenty minutes, my pizza is actually ready. However at this point, I am furious with the lack of communication and attitude from the manager. I ask the employee, I would gladly take the pizza, should I be refunded for the ridiculous wait time. She promptly told me no such thing will be done.
I proceeded to cancel my order. Counter employee said the order was canceled. However I wanted a receipt confirmation and said they do not have receipts for that. I left the store. Only to then find out my order WASN'T CANCELED, and I re-canceled over the phone AGAIN. This time I got an email confirmation.
I promptly ordered food from Domino's Pizza, and had my food within fifteen minutes. I will never give this place my business again. Terrible...
Read moreI placed a takeout order for square cut pizza for BBQ Chicken and Bacon flavor. My friend took a piece and drop me off at my place before taking off. I had a normal cut piece and realize that it is BBQ meat. I do not eat beef and unable to tolerate meat. I called the branch explaining them the problem. They requested me to bring back the pizza if it is untouched and claimed I should have know when I see pepperoni - this puzzled me, should I know BBQ chicken and bacon doesn't actually contain pepperoni and since when there's a law stating that pepperoni cannot be made of chicken? Store manager got the phone with impatience, grumpy, accusatory tone saying they will either give me the credit or deliver the right pizza. I requested for redelivery and store manager hung up on me after asking for the address. Considering the worst attitude (not to mention a store manager) I ever received, I was concerned of the store manager's credibility and who knows what would be put on my pizza, I decided to call in the branch again asking them to just get the pizza and that I do not need replacement from them. I addressed my concern and stating not needing a replacement. Manager yelled stating that he tried to solve the issue by bringing me a pizza. I explained patiently, "I called in trying to tell you guys nicely but concerned with the attitude and worrying my pizza that I'm eating so I do not need a replacement". The store manager warned me not to go to the store ever again and will not send anyone to retrieve the pizza and hung up on me. Well, guess it's his hobby of yelling and hung up on people while people still talking. I see that explains the weird reaction from the previous takeout order customers before me when they claimed the store made the wrong...
Read moreHave you ever had bad service from a restaurant? Times are tough right now, so my co workers have been ordering out almost every day for a group of about 30-40 people to help support local businesses. We have ordered from Papa Johns before, but have never had an experience like this before. Our order was delivered on time, but when we were checking the list and what all we were supposed to have over half the food was missing. Ok, we thought, mistakes happen, we will just call and let them know so that they can fix it. So we did, and instead of apologizing, or even offering to fix anything, the manager accused us of hiding the food to try and get more food out of them. Right away he was rude and hateful. So he sent his driver back out with the rest of our order, but low and behold, they delivered an empty pizza box! Again, mistakes happen, and have happened when we have ordered before. But when we called to tell him he again accused us of lying and said that if he had to give us our money back, because he flat out refused to give us a pizza, that our business was never allowed to order from there again. We’ve had mistakes happen when we order, and plenty of them, but normally when we call things are fixed, or made right in some way because both sides understand no system is perfect. We have never been treated like that from any place and have no problem not giving him our business again. His attitude was so horrible it not only affects that we will no place work orders, but none of us will be ordering from any Papa Johns in the future. So be aware if you order from the Blacksburg Papa Johns, if you have a mistake with your order it will be your fault, the manager and his team are...
