Oh my goodness! You seriously have to put this on your list of places to try! Much more than just a donut shop, with a rather large menu of items to choose from. Each small town I've lived in has had a donut shop but this one goes far above the average. The donuts themselves are amazing... I'm still in awe that I can get a chocolate Glazed donut stuffed with chocolate filling! You can actually choose your filling! How amazing is that!?! Way too much to eat in one sitting but just as amazing later in the day for dessert. The kolaches are fresh and large, I love the selection that you can choose from. Sausage, Venison and pork and more. They also have fruit and cream cheese kolache pastries. The crossaints are flaky and good size and make great sandwiches. The family is extraordinary, nice and a pleasure to talk with. You know their heart is in what they are doing and I'm glad that they choose to do it here! Update * always ask about one of their special sandwiches... The brisket egg and cheese piled in a sweet delicious roll is so very good!

If I could give this donut shop zero stars, I would.. Visiting on our way through Blanco.., called in for morning coffee and donuts. I asked the gentleman behind the counter if they had any additional tables as there were 10 of us.. and only 2 tables inside (one occupied by other customers)… his answer: No I can’t give you anymore tables. He told us if we wanted more tables that there were tables outside (2 very small tables each with 2 chairs) However, in the corner of the inside eating area where 6 additional tables stacked up..??? So WHY could we not utilize these..?? We didn’t expect him to come from behind the counter and do anything, we would have got an extra table ourselves.. So, we unstacked extra chairs and sat 10 around a 3’ X 3’ table.. the extra chairs were disgustingly dirty.. We would not recommend this donut shop to anyone.. very inhospitable and the table, chairs and floor were seriously filthy.. Huge disappointment for a town that heavily relies on tourism for their revenue.. We won’t be visiting them again…

Got there at 5:20am, lights were just getting turned on. Saw this place on Texas Eats and had to come try it. No breakfast brisket kolaches 😪, Main reason for trying this out. Other FRESH ham, ham jalapeño, sausage & sausage jalapeño were available & real good. We were told Saturday was so busy that there was not going to be any brisket kolaches till 11am😒. All good though because a fresh batch of apple fritters came out and totally distracted us from lack of selection so early in the morning. Sat outside and ate our kolaches. By 6am glazed donuts were ready. We were informed we can call in an order too. Friendly ladies behind the counter. More of a pick up and go type of place. Basically wait till 7am, hopefully more of a donut selection.

Arrived on Father’s Day 6-20-2021 at about noon! Ordered two Donut Twists and one Bavarian Cream Filled “Donut”! The Bavarian Cream pastry was custom made! But, OMG!! The Donut Twists were measured at 9 3/4” long and in one word it was BIG! I’m used to HEB Grocery Donut Twists, which are covered in sugar and which I now classify as miniature. The Main Street Donut Twist was fluffy, slight icing and absolutely delicious! Cost $1.83 per huge Donut Twist! Very nice on the price! I was very impressed. Furthermore the two young ladies provided Outstanding Customer Service. When I get a teenager at a fast food restaurant it’s usually one with an attitude. And not a good attitude! Not so here! As a past Culinary expert I value highly Customer Service. I’ve always said “if you have lousy food and great Customer Service, people will come back”! But if you have great Food and lousy Customer Service, people will never return. It’s refreshing to see both in any establishment. This establishment has BOTH. If you happen to visit Blanco, Texas, stop by this Gem of a Donut Place. My qualifications as an Expert and Experienced Food and Service Critic; I have a BS in Management and have been trained in two Culinary Schools, to include on the job training at other venues. I’ve managed full service as well as fast food restaurants and have had my own successful Catering business. As a Culinary Trainer, I have trained personnel on how to provide superb cuisine and expert customer service. At the age of 74, I am now retired and enjoy being on the other side...

Donut sandwich Smoked brisket egg and cheese kolache Kountry Boy kolache Cinnamon sugar twist

If that's not enough to get you out here, then i don't know what will.

Let's start with the kountry boy kolache. They have venison and jalapeño-we opted for the jalapeño. They basically take this great smoked sauage and wrap it like a mummy in some buttery dough. You get a nice snap as you bite it. Not hot but really good.

Smoked brisket, egg and cheese kolache. The smoked brisket was legit-suoer tender and nice touch of smoke with plenty of bark to complement the egg and cheese. Glad we split it because it was the size of a small burger.

The donut sandwich. Oh my god. This is another level: They take a glazed donut, slice it in half and toast it. You get to fill with either bacon and egg, sausage and egg or ham and egg. The wife chose the sausage and egg. The sweetness of the glazed donut combined with the saltiness and spiciness of the sausage makes this sandwich! So good! It was our favorite breakfast item

We capped this great breakfast with a cinnamon sugar twist. How ordinary right? WRONG! this was no ordinary cinnamon sugar twist. At most donut shops you get a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar. Here, they really define what cinnamon sugar is and how cinnamon sugar should be done. Every bite of that soft, warm fresh dough has plenty of cinnamon sugar. Imagine a giant, soft churro and that's what you get.

Definitely a gem here in the...

Main Street Donuts and Kolaches — Blanco’s Best Kept Secret for Brisket, Egg & Cheese Kolaches!!

If you find yourself in Blanco, TX, do yourself a favor and stop by Main Street Donuts and Kolaches. This charming little shop is a local gem, and while their donuts are fantastic, the real standout is their Brisket, Egg & Cheese Kolache.

From the first bite, it’s clear this kolache is something special. The brisket is smoky and tender, the eggs are fluffy and satisfying, and the melted cheese brings it all together in a rich, savory blend. Wrapped in their signature soft dough, it’s the perfect balance of flavors and textures — hearty, comforting, and absolutely delicious.

You can tell they put real care into their ingredients and preparation. This isn’t just a breakfast item — it’s a reason to make the drive to Blanco. Whether you’re a kolache enthusiast or just looking for a memorable bite, this one hits the mark.

The shop itself is warm and welcoming, with friendly staff and a great selection of donuts if you’re craving something sweet. But honestly, I’d come back again and again just for that Brisket, Egg & Cheese Kolache. It’s hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had. Five stars. Highly...
