DO NOT HOST AN EVENT AT THIS RESTAURANT!!!!!!! Beware of having any kind of special occasion here.
I decided to have my daughterâs baptism luncheon at Andiamo because their food never disappoints but I have never had an event there so I wanted to try them out.
I left a $350 deposit for a private room to create an intimate private luncheon for 18 people. This is where I shouldâve just found somewhere else to host the lunch because when I mentioned it could be up to 20 people they made such off the wall suggestions of having 4 guests sit outside of the room where lunch would be, to be in a different room thatâs for 50+ people etc.
I agreed and got my guest count to 18 people just because I was so adamant about this lunch being an intimate occasion where I could sit with all of my guests and celebrate our daughter.
I walked into (or should I say slipped, but thatâs for later) a complete disaster. Instead of one long table in a private room for an intimate lunch, THE MANAGER ROCKY decided he knew what was best for me and overhauled my occasion. I DID NOT GET A PRIVATE ROOM THAT I LEFT A DEPOSIT FOR
They stuck my party in an empty back room of the restaurant with two tables split so I couldnât sit with all of my guests. THE ROOM WAS EMPTY AND LOOKED RIDICULOUS LIKE WE DIDNT PREPARE FOR THE OCCASION.
THE MANAGER ROCKY looked at me like I was a witch from hell for not appreciating WHAT HE DECIDED WAS BEST NOT ME. I had my entire party waiting to be sat since andiamo was adamant they did not open till 4 so instead of making them wait longer to completely reset the event to another room and set up a new table I was stuck with this stupid setup I NEVER wanted. If I was going to have an event in a space that large I wouldâve invited more guests and not been so worried about the headcount to be in a private room. I still even in a huge empty room did not get one long table to sit with all of my guests.
AS IF I WASNT BURDENED ENOUGH WITH THIS HORRIBLE SETUP MY GUESTS AND ME HOLDING MY NEWBORN CHILD SLIPPED ON THEIR BAR FLOOR BECAUSE IT WAS A DISASTER they tried to cover it up with floor mats but they werenât big enough for the entire area and MULTIPLE of my guests slipped and one fell so hard her knee has been bruised since she fell over a week ago.
While waiting 20min for the restaurant to officially open, they would not serve my guests a glass of water, let alone a drink at the bar. So several or of them were appalled at the response they got from the staff and left to go to a nearby restaurant for actual service till the lunch started.
This review could go on forever of how disappointing, appalling, inconsiderate, and unprofessional this establishment treated me on one of the most sacred days a parent has with their child.
I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. DO NOT GIVE THIS UNAPPRECIATIVE BUSINESS YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. ROCKY IS A LIAR AND THE RUDEST NASTIEST PERSON ON THE PLANET. ROCKY HAS NO BUSINESS HAVING A JOB IN HOSPITALITY. ROCKY RUINED MY EVENT AND DIDNT EVEN LOOK ME IN THE FACE TO APOLOGIZE. ROCKY IS A...
Read moreWent here twice within four days for dinner with family. If you donât want to read the whole review below, Iâll summarize this place as being overpriced with food of sporadic quality and unpredictable staff.
First time- I ordered the tortellini with one meatball. The pasta tasted great and was accompanied by an equally superb sauce (although it wasnât the best for my stomach after). The meatball was not a good option and lacked any real flavor. Wait staff was friendly, accommodating and helpful. Dessert was a chocolate cake, which tasted more like a chocolate mouse. Light and not overly sweet, it was great.
Second time- Now here is where the review goes South and quick. We had reservations and were seated promptly upon entering. After deciding what we wanted, our party began ordering our meals. However, after the first person communicated their order, the waiter abruptly left our table without saying anything. They then went to the table behind ours and started to engage in a conversation with them about how their food was and then came back to us to finish the order. Never once have I had the wait staff do something so disrespectful, rude, and careless. Not even a sorry was shared when the waiter returned to get the two remaining orders from our table. It would be one thing if the waiter saw someone choking or getting assaulted at another table and went to check on them mid-order. However, they were just checking to see how their food was tasting. Couldnât that have waited 30 seconds while getting the rest of our order? Then, after eating our salads, which were actually enjoyable and fresh, the wait staff boxed the remaining salad in a bag and placed it on the floor. I thought this was an upscale restaurant with proper etiquette? Maybe I am mistaken. On top of all this, the food was less than enjoyable. I ordered the Speziato Gamberoni Con Bottarga Di Tonno. The pasta was swimming in oil and chunks of pasta were stuck together. My meal alone was $38 and contained nothing to justify this price. This was after an exceptionally long wait due to the chefs messing up the original meal order. Sending countless people to check if the food is good after all that happened is a good gesture in theory but is already too late when sizable errors were already made with no accountability or way to right the wrongs. Safe to say we will not be...
Read moreWould NEVER return. Our reservation was scheduled a full day before we went. Plenty of notice for a larger and busier restaurant. It was a one year anniversary and we requested a special dessert plate be served after dinner. We arrived on time and it took a full fifteen minutes to be seated. The host seating us actually had the wrong reservation information. We got water from a bus boy nearly twenty-five minutes since our reservation time. We waited nearly a half hour for someone to come take our order. We were greeted by a waiter who asked if we had been helped. I said we were ready to order. He walked away and I was assuming he'd go find where our server was. Finally after getting fed up we asked that server to take our order. He came back with salad and soup, and the wrong drink order, and no bread. He never asked what dressing I wanted on my salad so I was served the creamy garlic Parmesan dressing on the side. He replaced the drink correctly and a bus boy got us bread. The bus boys are on top of their game and the waiters are terrible. We did not receive side pasta which is something I thought all Andiamo restaurants offered. The waiter also took my alcoholic drink away half full and replaced it. I was charged another twelve dollars for a second drink when I wasn't even done with the first. After the meal we also never received our dessert. I had to ask the waiter for it! Even though I had specifically requested that it be served and say " Happy One Year Anniversary. " He thought that I had brought a cake?! He did however go retrieve one from the kitchen. It was wild berry sorbet with a glob of whipped cream, a candle, no berries and it didn't say "one year." I would never plan a surprise party because they'll probably forget about it! The food was fine but nothing to pay $100 for in all honesty. An when the bill arrived they already had a "gratuity" tagged onto our bill! I have never seen such a thing and was almost going to complain but at that point I just wanted to leave after being there so long. I can't believe they'd put a gratuity and then ask for additional tips. The service was so bad and I have the right to tip...
