Roland Optics — Local services in Bloomfield Township

We went to Roland Optics twice last week. My child's new glasses were causing a headache, Jen changed the angle of the lenses in the frames. Wow! It fixed the problem! On another day someone in our household was standing too close to a glass bowl when a jar from the cupboard tumbled down. The person had cuts in their eyes. Dr. Michael Duerr and his assistant Nicole was able to see them on an emergency basis! THANKS Dr. Mike and Nicole!

Jen helped my daughter pick out glasses! They are so cute - she found a big pair in the octagon style that is so popular for young people!! She also helped my daughter with sunnies! She said the polarized are great when you are in the car!

Dr. Lorne and Jen said that for people who use computer monitors, bifocals set for the distance to your monitors can help! Roland Optics made glasses for my husband that were set for the distance to his computer monitors. They are great! We have had two eye issues and both times we went to Roland Optics. We saw both Dr. Max Gottesman and Dr. Michael Weishaus. They are very professional and compassionate! If you have a problem they will see you immediately! I was looking for new eyeglasses, specifically a round or squarish pair. I then learned about Oliver Peoples and Garrett Leight eyeglasses, which is how I found Roland Optics since they carried these brands. I sat with Allison Horowitz and she was awesome! She was not only very patient with me (as I could be a bit indecisive haha), but also very kind and showed great care. My only complaint would be that I was enrolled in text messaging that would text when my eyeglasses arrived, however, my glasses had apparently been delivered and I never received a call or text message or any communication. I called the store and asked if there were any updates with my order and the woman on the phone informed me that my eyeglasses were actually delivered three days ago. I wish someone would've called me or texted me or something. Nevertheless, I had a pleasant overall experience. I didn't get my eye exam here so I can't review the physicians on the level of care they provide. However, I did come here in search for a new pair of glasses. Out of all the places I went to in search of a new pair (Henry Ford in West Bloomfield, Eyeglass World in West Bloomfield, Direct Optics in Farmington Hills, and Steven Franklin Optics in West Bloomfield) Roland Optics was the cleanest and most welcoming place. They were busy when I went so I had to wait some time for an associate to help me if I wanted to try on the demo frames. No big deal unless you don't have time to wait. The prices were a bit on the higher side, but I guess that is expected for the demographics. The selection of frames were great, they have lots of designer frames. I do recommend bringing someone with you for a second opinion as you try them on. I brought my girlfriend and we found the perfect pair of Prada glasses.
